1.- Please introduce us to the warriors in Iskra with a few words...

2.- What is the main concept in the band?
- To bring Anarchy through culture. Destruction of governments, religion, and capital structures. To enhance resistance against foundational schemes that are working to control minds. Such schemes include theories often misconstrued as being “rebellious”, i.e. “satanism,” “national socialsim,” or just “nationalism” etc. These constructs, as well as many others, simply serve the status quo and legitimize the very systems that some people claim to be against. These theories serve conformity, government, capital, and religion, to name the obviouis, and are nothing more than shadows. There is to much belief and not enough thought.
Just because someone decides to wear corpse-paint, and propose some kind of holocaust, doesn't mean they're a “rebel.” Quite often they are nothing more than George Bush in disguise, or any other politician for that matter. When such people suggest a “non-political” stance ( often to simply hide a confused agenda) we know its bullshit. anyone who takes a position is being “political,” after that its action and intent.
Nationalism is not an act of resistance to systems of subservience, it is subservience. Those who believe that Nationalism will “preserve” culture and identity are delusional. Nationalism, as well as Imperialism, work towards homogenous consent to a status-quo system of control where culture and diversity will be crushed. While that might sound cool to some people, we would like to point out that those who persue such ideas, more often than not, live under neo-liberal conditions. If they had to live under as system of extreme control things would be very different for them. What people need to do, if they wish to preserve anything cultural, is to keep cultural pracitices alive(such as language or traditional ways) that are specific to their people. National pride, patriotism, the belief in some kind of purity, and/or that one people are more “pure” than another are not about divcersity and non-conformity, it's the opposite. In addition to that thought, most people in the world(if not all)are of mixed blood. The idea of “purity” is a religious belief and, like most religions, a type of fantasy. Athough fantasy can be interesting, it should not be confused with the everyday.

3.- Who are your main influences to create this mix between Crust and Black Metal?
- To many bands to list. Classic Crust-Punk, Anarcho-Punk, Punk, Thrash Metal, Grindcore, early Death Metal and, of course, Black Metal all contribute to our musicality. All of these genres have the all the ingredients required to make extreme music. The blueprints are there, its just a matter of how we mould the materials into our own creations. Keep in mind, we are still working within the same 12 tones that bach used. We're trapped in another foundational system. Its the distortion, lyrics, and added madness that makes the music something other than the norm.

4.- By the way did you choose the bands for the Split albums?
- Yes, these bands are/ we're our friends.

5.- Your first album was recorded with the legendary Profane Existence Records, how was the contact for work with this guys?
- P.E. Was good to work with. In the end, they wanted us to sign a contract for major distribution, so we parted ways. We did not want this, since that specific label was built a an opposition to that industry; they are supposed to be dedicated to the ethics of underground anarchist punk. That's not to say that we're better, or that we wouldn't sign a contract, its just that, in this case, it didn't feel like it would be the right thing to do. We wish them all the best.

6.- What can you say about this song "Deep Integration"?
- “Deep Integration” is a program dedicated to erradicating the borders between Mexico, Canada, and the U.S. for big business interests. This “union” will ultimately be controled by wealthy elites from those countries. Of course is will be the elites from the u.s.a. that will have the most influence. Mexico and Canada will then provide cheap resources necessary for the rich to continue with their imperial agenda. Once “Deep Integration” is in place, there will be a type of enslavement as well as destruction of the eco-system. This is already happening, of course, but it will be excellerated. The plan is in effect now. It will contend with the EU and China, economically speaking. This is a right wing business structure. Anyone interested in culture, and/or any definition of “freedom” would be best to resist this plan. We need less centralization, not more.

7.- Now you are working with Black Raven Records, why change from Profane Existence to Black Raven Records?
- Black Raven Records is our own lable. Since we did not want to sign contracts, we decided it might be better to do our own records. This way people can support the band directily and know where there money is going. We are also working on putting out records for other bands. In addition, Black Raven Records is a record/anarchist bookstore run by members of ISKRA. That said, we will continue to work with underground labels. For example, we are currently working with AGIPUNK for the European viny release of our new album “BUREVAL”, as well as a number of small Russian labels who will be releasing the CD version as a benefit for the Anarchist Black Cross, St. Petersburg. So its a conbination of doing it ourselves and working with the international anarchist underground.

8.- How was the recording process of your latest album "Bureval"?
- We recorded “BUREVAL” at Fiasco Brothers with Len Osanic in Vancouver, B.C. It was recorded onto 2 inch tape and took about 16 hours. The mixing was done from tape as well. There was only one digital trnsfer, which was necessary since record pressing plants do not accept reels of tape anymore. We put it at 32-bit, twice the sampling rate of a regular cd
for the cassette release. The vinyl version will be the same.

9.- Talking about the lyrics, what are the main themes of the songs?
- The main themes are: a fanstastical vision of Anarchist hitory(“Kronstadt” and “Wie Alles Anfing”), the exposition of rebel poetry ( “Okeanos”, “ 80 000”, “Wolf Of Winter”), a look at some specific systems of control used historically and presently (“Okhrana”, “Hounds of Order”, “Dubrovlag”, “Bureval”), and ecological destruction (“Within The Black”).
ISKRA has changed its style of lyic since the old way was to sure of itself. There are lines in the old lyics which support law( rights and such). While there is no question that, given we live within law systems, there are certain ones we'd support more than others, it is important to always oppose law in general since they generally support wealthy elites. Keep in mind that it is because of “law” that wars are considered “ok”. Its, on one level, a simple equation: those people “over there” are breaking international laws(which we proabably had a hand in making) and so must be invaded. The attacking State makes up any deception it can to get “the people” on board, often using partial and/or complete fabrications. Then its time to carpet-bomb the cities. Of course the real reasons for doing so is almost always related to resource control, that is: economics. All “War-Metal” bands take note: war is about supporting rich men in suits. Its not that “bad-ass”, especially if you're on the recieving end.
Anyway, the point is that ISKRA is not one thing, we're continually looking for new ways to express ourselves. To us, Anarchy is a process of change.

10.- For you what is the meaning of Iskra as a band?
- Wolf: Iskra is one of the three major cultural projects in my life. For me, ISKRA is symbolic of a violent cultural, attack on the status quo, its philosophic inquiries, and political structures. ISKRA is a type of aesthetic war machine which seeks to obliterate all those who build foundations of control, of which, by-the-way, we are not claiming to be immune. Its also a journey of self-discovery and skill enhancement.

11.- How is a classi gig of Iskra?
- Loud, brutal, chaotic.

12.- Talking about foreign bands, with who do you like share stage or record some split?
- There are many foreign bands we like, to many to list. For now, we are done with split records and only plan on releasing full length Lps. Of course things may change at any moment with regards to this decision. We love sharing the stage with other bands, its one of the main reasons to play.

13.- How is the Canadian scene at the moment? Coul you recommend us some great bands?
- The scene in Canada is not so good. Most bands are apathetic or join with fucked up founational/religious dogmas, i.e. Nazi and Satanic etc. There are very few bands who promote self thought or cultural resistance. Still, there are some cool bands out thereand for sure there will always be. Canada is a large landmass with very spaced out settlements making communication difficult, which is not necessarily a bad thing, it just is. Its hard to really know what's going on.

14.- Plans for the near future?
- To better our music: make it more intense, both sound and word. To continue our cultural war with mainstream thought. To promote anarchism. To begin new cultural projects and continue the ones we are currently involved with.

Wendy Dio, wife / manager of RONNIE JAMES DIO has just released the following statement to Blabbermouth.net: "Today my heart is broken, Ronnie passed away at 7:45 a.m. (on Sunday) 16th May. Many, many friends and family were able to say their private goodbyes before he peacefully passed away. Ronnie knew how much he was loved by all. We so appreciate the love and support that you have all given us. Please give us a few days of privacy to deal with this terrible loss. Please know he loved you all and his music will live on forever." Rest in peace, Ronnie! You will always be remembered!

Blabbermouth.net also reported that DEBBIE ABONO, well-respected and much-loved manager and promotional machine behind some of San Francisco Bay Area's strongest Metal bands (POSSESSED, FORBIDDEN, EXODUS, VIO-LENCE, SKINLAB), passed away today (Sunday, May 16) as well at appoximately 9:59 a.m. PST after a battle with cancer. Rest in peace, Debbie!

According to Modern Drummer, ex - TWISTED SISTER drummer JOE MARKOWSKI (aka "Fast" Joey Brighton) died on April 14. He was 57 years old. Markowski was well known in the New York area as a drum teacher in the '70s, working out of VANILLA FUDGE drummer Carmine Appice's Oceanside drum studio. Top drummers - including Bobby Rondinelli (BLACK SABBATH, RAINBOW) and Joe Franco (GOOD RATS, TWISTED SISTER) - studied with Markowski, who himself had played with the GOOD RATS and TWISTED SISTER.

Philadelphia's Black Metallers BLASPHEMOUS have parted ways with their longtime bassist, Decrepit. Vocalist RK has issued the following statement regarding the situation: "We have decided to part ways with bassist Decrepit. He's been part of BLASPHEMOUS for most of our existence, covering two different stints with us. It always is tough to make a change, but sometimes it has to be done. We wish him luck in his future projects. Right now all live activity will be on hold until we find a replacement. We hope to see you all again soon. BLASPHEMOUS is looking for a new bass player. Relapse Records has announce a partnership with Perseverance Holdings Ltd. and the Schuldiner family to reissue the catalog of DEATH, CONTROL DENIED and MANTAS. Chuck Schuldiner’s DEATH, one of the most important and influential metal bands of all-time, will see the first official digital releases of it’s legendary albums "Scream Bloody Gore", "Leprosy", "Spiritual Healing", "Human", "Individual Thought Patterns" and "The Sound Of Perseverance" today at this location. These digital releases will come two days before Chuck Schuldiner would have celebrated his 43rd birthday. Schuldiner passed away on December 13, 2001 after fighting a long, recurring battle with brain cancer. Relapse will also reissue an expanded version of the classic debut album, "The Fragile Art Of Existence", from Schuldiner’s progressive Heavy Metal band CONTROL DENIED in late 2010 as well as the first-ever collection by his pre-DEATH project MANTAS. Long-running California Metallers AGENT STEEL have issued the following update: "As some of you may or may not have already heard the news that AGENT STEEL has parted ways with vocalist Bruce Hall. We as a band would like to acknowledge the accomplishments together with Bruce and the three solid Metal offerings; "Omega Conspiracy", "Order Of The Illuminati" and "Alienigma". Together we had the fortune of touring and sharing the stage in some amazing places and visited some breathtaking countries. Today we have this interview with Mauricio "El Chamaco" bassist and vocal of Mexican Thrashers Lust!!!

1.- How was born the idea to create Lust?
- Was born with a group of friends from the high school and the need of expres in a musical way. In the beggining we couldn´t say that we had a style, and this idea gradually became in what is now Lust, through 13 years of life.

2.- Do you remember how was the scene in Mexico in these days?
- The scene was more hermetic, the globalization had not affected the world in those days, we had a real band - fan relationship that we don´t have now.Back in the days, we went to saw our favorite band although this was national. Now all looks like a competence about who have more discs, a better guitar, or more patches in their jacket.

3.- Your first demo was recorded in 1999, how was the experience of record?
- The recordings of Lust always has been done by us, in our home or in a studio. The experience was calm, we do not hurry, because we do not pay for time and stuff like that. When we record Lust, normally we already have the idea of what will be; is not like in other bands where they going to the studio to compose or get some inspiration.

4.- Between your EP in 2001 and your next demo, passed a long time, 5 years... What happened with Lust in that time?
- In that time, we recorded 3 songs for a Split with the maximus Raped God, to this date has not been edited. The time goes fast, and we work on material for "Eternal Disgrace" demo and the "Possessed" Lp.

5.- How long it took to be ready with the songs and record "Possessed"?
- A lot; was 2 years of composition and a lot of gigs... Before, Lust was a much more a live band, i think that was the reason for the long time to compose and record.

6.- "Possessed" opened the gates for the European Tour?
- I don´t think the Lp was the reason. I think what made us visit the old continent were the impetus for Lust to find new listeners, that people could know the band live and then decide if a disc is worth it.

7.- What was the most memorable moment of that tour?
- See how music can unite continents, how the metalic brothers of other countries feel the same energy with the music, with the power of Metal. And of course hehehehehe the beer, so many! I don´t know what to do.

8.- You had some line up changes, now do you have a strong line up?
- Lust have 13 years of life, and we had a lot of members at this time, guitarrists, bassists, drummers, and singers. The line up of Lust is not based on me or somebody else, is based in the need to go against of the stablished, even into the Metal, this is what Lust needs to have a line up.

9.- Do you have near plans for Lust?
- The only plan that Lust have, is non stop. We don´t need play live, or every year put a new album for been a active band. All this, is a global tendency... Lust goes against that.

10.- Talking about the Mexican scene, how can we stay away from the trends that kill Metal?
- Stop watch the TV, don´t buying records in the monopoly stores. Send all the globalization to the shit, is not a retroces. Is simply make the decision to non accept this, stop think about the american dream of the yanquis (americans). And like fans, respect and support what it´s worth.

11.- Could you recommend some Mexican bands to our readers?
- That would be a little purpose. Is that people discover the band that nobody else knows. That stop say to us what is good, is better do it for yourself. Internet? Is valid, the gigs are valid too, the thing is go and watch, that not be told! I recommend that you listen a lot of bands, for sure 5 or more bands worth much!

12.- What is the most important thing that music gives to you?
- The reason to know what i want for my life and the chance to expres what i feel.

13.- Could you describe the sound of Lust in 5 words?
- 5 words? That´s hard hehehe... Mmmmm dirty, fast, irreverent, metal, Mexico. Ok that´s 5 hehehe.

14.- What is Thrash Metal for you?
- Thrash Metal is a way, the most fast form to expres your feelings, that they realize how you lives.

15.- New material of Lust?
- Almost almost. We gonna try to record the new Lust assault in the middle of the year, we hope it´s done for the second half of the year.

16.- For last something to add?

Vincent Crowley, frontman for Ibex Moon Records ACHERON, has issued the following statement regarding the band's future: "After 22 years of existence, Black / Death / Thrash Metal band ACHERON are calling it quits! The band has released 5 original full length CDs, 3 mini- CDs, 1 cover-tribute CD and a number of other underground releases. ACHERON will end on a familiar note by doing one last run of “Rites Of The Black Mass” shows until January 1st, 2011. After that ACHERON will be done for good (no more shows or albums)! It is with great sadness that we inform you that Type O Negative front man, bassist, and our band mate, Peter Steele passed away last night of what appears to be heart failure.
Ironically Peter had been enjoying a long period of sobriety and improved health and was imminently due to begin writing and recording new music for our follow up to "Dead Again" released in 2007.
The official cause of death has yet to be determined pending autopsy results. The funeral services will be private and memorial services will be announced at a future date. We’d like to share our thoughts and those of Peter’s family below.
We are truly saddened to lose our friend and appreciate the tremendous outpouring today from around the world.

Hails! Today we have this interview with this crazy teenagers from Irapuato Mexico, furious and classic Death Metal... Soul Eater!

1.- For all those unfamiliar with the band, could you tell us a little bit about the band?
- Thanks for the space dude, it´s good to know is there support from some people. Soul Eater starts two years ago with Damian Silva, Hector Sobreira and me (Joel Silva), later Normand Venegas joined the band. All this with the faithful objective of fun and express our feelings about religion and the new waves of music, mainly the "Core" trendy stuff, trying to respect the basic concepts from the Old School for showing to our generation.

2.- How do you choose the name for Soul Eater?
- There´s not a specific inspiration of the name... We choose the name because sound good for us, Haha!

3.- I can hear a lot of the Golden Era of Metal in your music, who are your main influence to create music?
- Actually a little bit from all, we have our particular preferences. For name a few, we hear since Thrash Metal bands like Destruction, Sodom, Kreator... Death Metal bands like Death, Possessed, Obituary... Even Punk with bands like Black Flag, Misfits and Ramones are influence to us.

4.- Talking about "Satanic Discharge", do ou have some demo before this Full Lenght?
- Technically yes, their name was A. C. S. (Anti Core Squad) and are the songs in our Split Tape with our brothers Ominous Crucifix.

5.- How was the process of composition and recording for "Satanic Discharge"?
- That was fast and intense, because we never stop writing, we are searching new sounds all the time for include in our songs, maybe this is because we like strive and rehearsal a lot, The recording was completed in a week, we try to avoid the overproduction... maybe sound wrong but trying to be the most honest and natural as we can.

6.- What can you say about this song "Angel Rapist"?
- This is a composition of our bassist Hector Sobreira, the lyrics reflect the lust of the human being... this can´t stop and can finished being a pain in the ass (if you understand what i´m saying), for anyone who opposes hahaha.

7.- How was the contact for work with Impious Desecration Records?
- Through our friends Ominous Crucifix, the offer for the Split Tape was with them, so they offer to do the split with them, we thank them for that.

8.- So was easy for you do the Split?
- Honestly, yes. We are really lucky with the support and the oportunities... You can be the best band in the world, but if you don´t have support, you will never grow up.

9.- How is a gig of Soul Eater, do you remember your first gig?
- We remember perfectly, we could barely play well, a couple of own songs, a couple of covers and a lot of shames hahaha. Fortunately we going better and better, now a gig of Soul Eater for me is a recomendation for allt he fans of the intense Metal in the vein of the old days.

10.- How is at the moment the scene in Guanajuato?
- Really well, good gigs and good bands, maybe with a little more support and difusion in the area, the good bands that are starting can go out more faster, but this is the Underground hehe. I like to recommend our friends "Warfare" a really good band from Celaya.

11.- Plans in the near future?
- Promote our album and maybe record some new songs, any gig that you want to invite us, we go gladly.

12.- Something to add or comment?
- Thanks from the heart to our brothers who support the Underground, and thanks to the kids who follow the Old School, after all it´s our turn to take the flame fo the True Metal. For last an honest and nothing sarcastic "God Bless you" hahahaha.

Hails! Today we have this great Thrash Metallers from Brazil... Infected!

1.- Hails! First of all, could you tell us, how do you formed the band?
- Rodrigo Costa: Hails friends !!! first of all thanx for the suport and opportunity!! for us is a great pleasure to participate in an ediction of fucking zine !! the band was formed by me (Rodrigo Costa –guitars and vocals ) in the beginning of 2002, with the influences like, Megadeth, Metallica, Exodus, Bywar, Sepultura, Assassin and a lot of Thrash Metal bands . did a few things and think about recording a demo with the old training, but it did not work so took a break in 2005. back with a new lineup in 2006 and since then have not stopped it, until we write some songs and then get the long awaited dream debut album

2.- At the beggining, what was your first musical approach?
- Rodrigo Costa: The beginning we were inexperienced and we played very badly, wanted to sound like sodom, destruction and kreator, influences of our former drummer, I wanted to be like metallica and megadeth so I think with that sounded very original crossover rsrsrs

3.- How was the recording process of "Who Is Not?"...
- Rodrigo Costa: Was really fun and funny because we'd never recorded anything. for us was a great experience, to record our time was short, so we did everything very fast without thinking too much detail. the songs were already written and we did not change in the studio. Like the end result for a band inexperienced we did well, of course, today we see many things we'd like to change, but overall we got a good result I think rsrsrsrs.

4.- How was the contact with Mutilation Records?
- Henrique Perestrelo: We have noticed that Mutilation was made a Thrash Metal bands "Team", them we go talk to Sergio Tullula(Mutilation Headmaster) and ask him if he was interested in our material... after he heard the Who Is Not he accepted to sing with us... that's it

5.- How is composing a song, do you have any special ways to achieve killer riffs, and lyrically what are your main influence to write?
- Rodrigo Costa: Thank you for the words! I worry about writing good riffs, and I have no secrets for composing, I picked up my guitar and play to get something nice, sometimes I can have good ideas, and leave something nice. 'm working on music to get a good result and that's just put a letter and start training. the part of the lyrics talk about the current world we live in, the shit we see on tv, on the greed of man or the church that uses faith to make money and enslave people, do not say anything new or anything revolutionary know a lot of bands spoke and still speak about these issues, but that is what we feel and it is this message that we want to convey to people. open your eyes and not be puppets without brain!

6.- What can you say about this song "The Damned Land"?
- Rodrigo Costa: I think that's a good song with good guitar riffs and a strong chorus, the lyrics talk about a doomed land where death reigns, and it is our fault, blame for letting be manipulated, enslaved and in the end suffer the consequences. it's kind of an apocalyptic vision. I think it came a time when everything is going to be difficult and we spend all this I say in the letter, and the worst is that it is our fault and we do nothing to change the situation.

7.- At the time what was the most important experience like a band?
- Rodrigo Costa: Able to record our debut and see our record in stores, know that many people had any reaction to our music no matter what it was, the headbangers around the world by writing opinions and giving us strength, the friends we made over the years, people like you on the other fighting and communicating the same idea as ours and helping us to show a little of what we are and what we mean by our music, the shows that we already see the audience singing and headbanging to us, these are all experiences and feelings very important to us. one thing that always remember me proud and was one person who told me that we played thrash metal because it was in fashion again and that would not survive over the years, we know that almost 10 years and continue doing what we like without to care about what others think is also a source of pride too big!

8.- I know a lot of great active Brazilian Metal bands (I think is one of the most importants scenes in the world), how is the Brazilian scene in this days?
- Rodrigo Costa: I think the scene here intense, never had so many good bands and a crowd that supports the underground bands, I'm glad to know that we are part of all this, we have great bands like the violator, the great Bywar that to me is the best thrash band metal activity, has some death metal bands also quite good as the infamous glory, pesticide, we have some festivals undergrounds , like the night of living thrashers who last year was attended by the band dr. living dead of sweden.

9.- Could you describe the sound of Infected in five words?
Rodrigo Costa: Aggressive, Intense, Fast, Groove and Feeling!!

10.- For you what is the mening of Infected as a band?
- Henrique Perestrelo: Infected is our Life !!! a way to escape the life's problems!!!! And a way to try to say to other people what we think that we all could do to change this world

11.- Could you please answer spontaneously to these words...
- Henrique Perestrelo:
Brasil: a beautiful country but with great social and educational problems
Sepultura: Heroes in Brazil , idols in the world
Violence: consequence of ignorance
Death: consequence of life
Thrash Metal: the thing that changed my life forever!!

12.- How is a gig of Infected? Do you remember your first gig?
- Rodrigo Costa: Our show is full of energy and aggression, with an exchange of feelings with the audience, I love being on stage no matter if we play for 1 or 100 people! I think the first show what you do is like the first kiss in your first girlfriend rsrsrs you never forget rsrsrs, remember that I was very nervous, my legs were shaking and I thought I was not able to play rsrsrs but then I thought, since we I'm here to play, if I get off the stage afraid the crowd will be worse rsrsrsr and so I have overcome the fear and could do the show without any problems

13.- Plans for the near future?
- Rodrigo Costa: Record a new release, play, play and play rsrsrs drink some beers, see the friends, having fun and much more!!

California's GRAVEHILL recently took a break from working on their highly anticipated Ibex Moon Records debut to head down south to Texas for a string of shows with label mates, HOD. Safely home from the carnage and mayhem that ensued, vocalist Mike Abominator offered this summary of the mini-tour: "The Texas shows couldn't have been better. HOD kicked total ass and made us stay on top of our game! One of the best live bands we have seen and some of the best guys around in metal....period! It was an honor sharing the stage with them and playing our Death Metal for all those Texas maniacs! We met so many killer and diehard people in Texas. And I have fond memories of all three shows, but the San Antonio show was unforgettable due to the response of the crowd, the fights, equipment falling and going out, beer and blood flying, the fights, the mayhem, the fights, arghhhhhh! ANIQUILADOR!!! Esta es la palabra correcta para definir la calidad y el sonido para este demo de Toxic Hate. Death Metal en la mejor de sus formas, estructuras, Riffs y una voz impresionante, que a pesar de tener una bateria secuenciada, me hacen recordar bandas como Demigod, Infestdead o Immolation.

El demo comienza con un intro obscuro y pesado, es como una especie de preludio hacia la locura dando paso a Toxic Hate, canción que desde el primer remate de bateria sabes que será demoledora, con un frenetico y avasallante blastbeat apoyado por ese sonido único del tremolo en una guitarra, ademas de un Riff pensado a la perfección, esta llena de cambios y una dinamica que no dejan quitarle el oido de encima, sin duda la mejor canción del Demo.
Bastard es una canción un poco menos agresiva, pero sigue manteniendo la fuerza necesaria para atraparte, un mid-tempo constante que suena increible con doble bombo! Cerca del minuto 1:50 llegamos a mi parte favorita, ese bajón denso y psicotico que solo me hace tener pensamientos de cripta, llegando a un solo de guitarra fantastico capaz de transportarte a una dimensión de miedo y nerviosismo, finalizando con ese grito demoledor ¡Bastard, Bastard, Kill´em All!

Toxic Hate solo me hace reafirmar lo que siempre he pensado, Hatemaster es uno de los músicos de Metal mas talentosos y comprometidos hoy por hoy en México. Estoy ansioso por esuchar lo que será su albúm debut, que seguramente será una joya del Death Metal, sin duda una banda con un futuro prometedor por delante! Toxic Hate solo para los amantes del verdadero Death Metal!

Estamos de vuelta... Hoy traemos esta entrevista con Hatemaster la mente detras de Toxic Hate, devastador y agresivo Death Metal desde Tierras Aztecas.

1.- Hails Hatemaster! Para empezar podrias darles una pequeña introduccion sobre Toxic Hate a todos aquellos que no estan familizarizados con la banda?
- Hey, primero que nada, gracias por la entrevista, y el interés en Toxic Hate.
Toxic Hate es una banda de death metal, la cual recientemente salió a la luz, pues las primeras rolas las subí al myspace apenas a comienzos de este año, aunque lleva mas de un año de trabajo previo. Esto empezó a finales de 2008, y fue hasta 2009 que decidí la forma en que sacaría el material que ya tenia. La linea musical no la podría describir puntual, pues tengo muchas influencias, y no trato de copiar a ninguna otra banda, aunque seguramente quien la escuche notara similitudes con otras bandas. Toxic Hate es una banda de un integrante, pues yo hago la música, letras y producción ademas las secuencias para la batería, pero Erradikator arregla la voz a la hora de grabar, y por supuesto es la voz de la banda.

2.- Porque razon decides emprender Toxic Hate como un proyecto de una sola perosna?
- Pues en la época en que tenia el proyecto en mente no tuve oportunidad de juntar a las personas correctas, y decidí empezarlo, así, sin integrantes, sin mas. Creo que al final es buen experimeto para mi pues ahora valoro mas el trabajo que cada integrante de una banda hace, aquí lo bueno es que no tengo problemas a la hora de tomar decisiones, y hago las cosas a mi manera, y la verdad estoy aprendiendo mas de lo que pensé. pero si es trabajo muy duro, por eso también he hecho las cosas con calma y me he tomado todo el tiempo que he pensado necesario para terminar cada etapa, así como los pasos a seguir en cada proceso.

3.- Las canciones que tienes en tu perfil de myspace me hacen recordar bandas como Infestdead o Demigod, que bandas son tus mas importantes influencias para crear musica?
- Para mi siempre han sido gran influencia Morbid Angel y Carcass, pero con el tiempo he descubieto y han surgido muchas mas que me gustan mucho y de las cuales he tomado algo, aunque te repito, no busco sonar a nadie en particular.

4.- Cuanto tiempo te llevo tener listas las canciones del demo y, que tan dificil fue el proceso de grabacion?
- Las rolas que están en el myspace son las mismas del demo, decidí sacar solo estas dos y un intro, basado en el tiempo en que fueron compuestas las rolas. Estas fueron las primera que hice entre 2008-2009, y pensé que las que hice después estaban como mas en la misma linea que estas dos primeras, así que las revise, hice algunos arreglos, los solos, y las re-grabe, y dos meses después estaban listas. Todo fue grabado en MiniBox estudio, un pequeño estudio casero del sur de la ciudad, la batería la trabaje yo en mi computadora (difícil proceso para mi que no soy baterista), y la voz se grabo en La Sala De Composición, otro pequeño estudio. Mezcla y master también fueron hechas en MiniBox. En resumen, fue largo y un poco cansado el proceso, pero espero este primer materia se mueva bien, y para el siguiente material en el cual ya estoy trabajando, nos vaya mejor, y por supuesto la producción será mas detallada.

5.- Como se da el contacto con Erradikator para conformar la voz despues de la salida de Frodo 47?
- Desde el principio busque a amigos cercanos que estuvieran involucrados en la música, para e proyecto y Frodo47 era mi mejor opción, pero lamentablemente por problemas personales que se le presentaron no pudo ser la voz de Toxic Hate, así que decidí esperar y cuando tuve las rolas listas le pedi a Erradikator (amigo de mucho tiempo y metalhead de la vieja escuela), me ayudara a terminar el proyecto, y pues todo funciono bien, el hizo arreglos a las lineas de voz y algunos otros a las letras, y el resultado me parece correcto.

6.- Hablando de las letras en tus canciones, cual es el tema principal o de donde viene la inspiracion?
- Completamente social! Las letras hablan de la sociaded en la que vivimos, en como nos comportamos, o se comportan algunos, en la religión como influencia social, y de toda la mierda que encontramos a diario al salir a las calles de esta ciudad tan dificil.

7.- Crees que Toxic Hate podria conformar una base fuerte de musicos para hacer presentaciones en vivo?
- Posiblemente en un futuro esto sea real, pues parte de hacer música es poder tocarla en vivo, la verdad para el primer LP, solo he pensado en contratar a algún buen baterista para la grabación, esto es esencial para cualquier banda, pues al hacer todas las rolas con baterias secuenciadas los tiempos son precisos, eso es lo que buscaría en un bateriasta, precisión, calidad y que pueda trabajar con metronomo sin problemas. Se que por ahi hay varios buenos musicos, solo hay que encontralos y porsupuesto que esten interesados en Toxic Hate.

8.- En tus palabras que es el Death Metal?
- Creo que como genero es tal vez el mas agresivo, fuerte, y denso, pero es solo una idea, por supuesto a todos nos llegan diferentes emociones con este genero y depende también del interprete, así que creo cada quien tiene algo particular que decir a este respecto.

9.- Cual es tu percepcion de la escena Mexicana actual?
- Uff... Creo siempre ha sido dicicil, pero ahora mas, primero tenemos las modas, diferentes generos han llegado como moda, y asi se han ido, y solo han quedado las bandas que valen la pena, y comprometidas, pero creo que hoy en dia la escena es mas complicda, ahora el publico y los organizadores son menos exigentes y mas desinteresados (no todos por supuesto), ahora hay mas toquines de baja calidad que antes, ahora los organizadores prefieren hacer 5 toquincitos chafones, que 2 bien hechos, el publico ahora solo va a "tirar estilo" y a enborracharse, ya no escuchan a las bandas, y bueno si ves a las mismas banditas cada fin, pues ya te las sabes y no les pones mucha atención, ademas el publico cada vez es mas joven, claro que esto no es malo, pero ahora se preocupan mas por la pose que por realmente conocer a las bandas, a los iniciadores de géneros y se la pasan pavonenadose con sus playeras raras, originales, demostrando lo "true" que son, y todo es pura pose. De las bandas nuevas, la verdad pienso que pocas valen la pena, y veo que a nivel mundial lo realmente "underground" esta creciendo cada vez mas, con muy buenas bandas incluso nacionales, pero lamentablemente estas bandas se mantienen al margen para no caer en toda esta payasada de banditas, chavitos y poses, y valen mucho la pena. Creo que el problema general de las bandas que nunca hacen nada mas, o nunca pasan de ciertos puntos, es la calidad y lo profesionales que no son, simplemente no lo son, no se comprometen con lo que hacen, no van mas alla, no invierten, esto es importantisimo, realmente cuantas bandas saben lo que es tener una produccion pro?, saben cuanto cuesta?, por que podemos dedcucir que no lo saben? Por que siguen donde siempre, tocando en tocaditas mal hechas (culpa de todas las partes), y ahi seguiran, con una buena producción uno se exije mas, por ejemplo, si pagas un estudio de a 500 la hora, porsupuesto que te comprometes a grabar bien!, y una prodicción buena te abre mas puertas. Ser "underground", no es ser conformista, ni mal hecho, es estar en una escena en donde hay que trabajar igual que en cuelquier empresa, mucho y duro trabajo, tiempo y dinero, y pienso esto esta muy olvidado en la mayoria en estos dias.

10.- Se que tienes muchos años dentro de la musica, que es lo mas importante que la musica te ha dado?
- La música me ha dado mucho! He aprendido muchas cosas, y el tocar en vivo es lo mejor que uno puede hacer siendo músico, y mas cuando tocas tu música y gente responde positivamente y de corazón, llegar de esta forma a los demás.
La palabra es SATISFACCION!

11.- Si tuvieras la oportunidad de escoger una banda para trabajar en un split, que banda escogerias?
- Esta si es difícil, pues me gustaría trabajar con muchas bandas, de aqui de México, Evil Entourage, Sarcoma, DNB, son algunas de las que me gustan, extranjeras pues hay muchas como End Of Days, o Hate, o tal vez Kronos, no se hay cientos.
Se aceptan propuestas!!!

12.- Planes para el futuro cercano?
- Distribuir el demo hasta donde el presupuesto lo permita, y encontrar disquera pronto, pues esto de andar de "Hombre Orquesta" es caro! Seguir trabajando mucho para hacer música de calidad, y espero el LP este listo para finales de este año, y estaría muy chingos sacar un split con otra banda. A darle!!

13.- Por ultimo, algo que quieras agregar?
Otra vez agradecer el interes por Toxic Hate, y agradecer a todos los que han hecho algo en este proyecto que empieza, a Christopher por el logo, Frodo47 por las fotos, Erradikator por su apoyo, a Daniel por el diseño e incondicional apoyo en todo! y a todos los que me faltan , ya saben quienes son. We are back... Now we have this interview with Hatemaster the mind behind Toxic Hate, crushing and aggressive Death Metal from the Aztec Land.

1.- Hails Hatemaster, firstable for all those unfamiliar with the band, could you tell us a little introduction about the band?
- Hey thanks for the interview and the interest in Toxic Hate. Toxic Hate is Death Metal bands, which recently come out to the light, I uploaded the first songs to MySpace in the beginning of this year, tough this had more than a year of previous work. This starts in the end of 2008, was until 2009 that I decided the form in which the material would be released that I already had. I can´t describe the musical line in a exact term, because I have a lot of influences and I don´t try to imitate any other band, though surely somebody find similarities with other bands. Toxic Hate is a one man band, I make the music, lyrics, production and the drums sequences, but Erradikator makes the arrangements for recording, and of course he is the voice of the band.

2.- Why do you decided make Toxic Hate like a one man band?
- In that time, I hadn´t the opportunity for get the right persons for the project, so I decided start without other members. At the end I think is a good experiment for me, because now I value more the work of any single member of a band, the good thing here is that I don´t have problems for make the right decisions and I do the work to my way, the truth is I am learning more that I was thinking. The work is very hard, I do the things calm and I take the necessary time for each stage, as well as the steps to continuing in every process.

3.- The songs that you have on your Myspace profile makes me remember bands like Infestdead or Demigod, what bands are your main influence to create music?
- For me Morbid Angel and Carcass always been my influence, but with the time I discovered and arisen many other that I like more, and I took some of this bands, but I repeat, I don´t try sound to anybody in particular.

4.- How much time did you take to have ready the demo songs and how was the recording process?
- The songs in Myspace are the same that the Demo, I decided put out 2 songs and one Intro, based in the time on which they were composed. All was recording in Minibox Studio, a small home studio on south of the City, I worked the drums on my computer (hard process because I’m not a drummer), and the voice was recorded on the Composition Room, another small studio. In short, the process was long and a little bit tired, but I hope this first material moves good, for the next material (I working on that) I hope goes better, and of course the production it´s gonna be more detailed.

5.- How is the contact with Erradikator for the vocals, before Frodo 47 leaves the project?
- Since the beginning I search close friends that were involved into the music for the project, and Frodo 47 was my better option, but unfortunately by personal issues that he had, he can´t be the voice of Toxic Hate. So I decided to wait, when I had ready the songs I asked to Erradikator (a long time friend and Old School Metalhead) if he can help me for finish the project, and all works good, he make arrangements in the vocal line and some other in the lyrics, the result is correct for me.

6.- Talking about the lyrics, what is the main theme or from where comes the inspiration?
- Completely Social! The lyrics talk about the society that we living, our behavior, the religion like social influence, and all the shit that we found in the streets of this difficult City.

7.- Do you think Toxic Hate could conform a strong Line – up for live performances?
- Maybe this is gonna be real in the future, part of make music is be available to play live. For the first Lp I only think hired a good drummer for the recording, this is essential for any band. When you make all the songs with sequences, the times are precise, I try to find in a drummer; precision, quality and he can work with metronome. I know there are some good musicians, i have to found them and of course they are interested.

8.- In your words, what is Death Metal?
- I think like a genre is the most aggressive, strong and heavy… but is just an idea. Of course all of us feel different emotions with this genre, and depends a lot of the Interpreter, so I think all have something particular to say about it.

9.- What is your perception about the actual Mexican Metal scene?
- Uff… I think always being difficult, but now is more. First, we have trends, different genres came like a trend and they gone like a trend. Only the good and committed bands stay alive, the scene in these days is more complicated, the audience and the promoters are less quality exigent and more disinterest (not all of course), now we have more gigs with low quality, the promoters prefer do 5 shity gigs that 2 well done gigs. The audience now just goes to shine their “style” and get drunk, they not listen anymore the bands, but if you see the same bands every weekend, you know what happens and you don´t put much attention to them. The audience is younger, this is not bad, but they only worry about their look and style, they don´t really want know the bands, the starters of genres; just want to presume their rare and original T-Shirts, trying to demonstrate how “True” they are, just a pose. Of the new bands, I really think only a few are good, and I see in a worldwide level the Underground is growing up with a really good bands, includes Mexican bands, but unfortunately this bands are in the line for not being a Trendy band and they are really great. The problem with the bands that never goes far away from some points, is their unprofessionalism, simply they are not Professionals, they don´t have commitments with their music, they not invest in their music, How many bands knows what is a Professional recording? How much cost? Why we can say the don´t know? Because they are in the same place, playing in some shity gigs (fault of all parts), and they will follow there; with a good production yourself demands more, for example if you pay a studio by $500 per hour, of course you commit to work perfect, and a good productions open more doors. Be Underground is not conformist, or wrong done. Is be in a scene where we have work just like every workplace, a lot and hard work, time, money; I think this is forgotten in this days.

10.- I Know you have a lot of years into the music, what is the most important that the music gives to you?
- The music gives me a lot! I learned a lot of things, and play live is the best thing that you can do being a musician, when you play your music and the people responses in a positive way from the heart, touch the people in this way. The right word is Satisfaction!

11.- If you had the opportunity to choice some band for work in a Split, what would be that band?
- This is hard, because I really like work with a lot of bands. From Mexico Evil Entourage, Sarcoma, DNB, they are some I like. Foreigners maybe End Of Days, Hate, maybe Kronos, I don´t know is there hundreds of bands. Accepted proposals!

12.- Plans for the near future?
- Distribute the Demo as far as the budget permits, and find label soon, because being a “Orchestra Man” is expensive! Keep it working for make quality music, and I hope the Lp is ready for the end of the year, and would be very cool get a Split with another band.

13.- For last, anything to add?

Pete has suffered for a long time with a deteriorating disc problem. He was in daily pain and needed to have this done. He has recently been treated by a Laser Back Surgery specialist in Tampa Florida. He is currently in rehabilitation and doing well. Pete is part of our family and the band's history and we all wish him well and a full recovery. Unfortunately this type of injury, subsequent surgery and rehab cannot be rushed and it will take ample time for him to hopefully be back behind his drums again and out on tour with MORBID ANGEL. Chile's PENTAGRAM have completed their first studio recording in over 20 years. During their European tour in the summer of 2009, the band recorded the track 'Demented' - which was written in the 80s but didn't make it onto either of PENTAGRAM's demos - at HVR Studios in the UK with producer / engineer Dan Biggin at the helm. The vocals were recorded in Santiago, Chile in December when the band gathered in their hometown to support VENOM in front of 2,000 raging oldschool Metallers. The track is currently being mixed and should surface on a split 7" (for Cyclone Empire's "Imperial Anthems" EP series) later this year. More details will be announced soon. In addition, the band has begun writing new material for its first-ever full-length album. Comments bandleader Anton Reisenegger (guitar / vocals): "When we started writing, the idea was obviously to preserve the spirit of our 80s material, but, to be honest, we didn't have to try very hard. It all started flowing naturally, and it was all there: the dark vibe, the weird time changes, the 'spider' riffs... This is really interesting.

Retrospectiva Al Metal Chileno (1983-1993) is a recently released book about the Chilean Metal scene of the decade 1983 up to 1993, as you might guess out of the title. 216 pages in 30 x 24cm deluxe format and written in Spanish language this book is meant for all those who are interested in a rather unknown Metal scene and especially in a collection of Thrash Metal bands from Chile around this era. The limited deluxe edition includes a 12" compilation LP (gatefold format) with a selection of oldschool Chilean bands such as VASTATOR, TORTURER, DORSO, NECROSIS, NIMROD, D.T.H., IN AGGRESSION, DARKNESS, CANCERBERO, BETRAYED, BELIAL, SQUAD, RUST and MASSACRE (all tracks featured here have never been on this format before). DENIAL FIEND have issued a statement about the band's follow up to their 2007 debut full length, "They Rise". According to guitarist Sam Williams the as-of-yet untitled album will feature eight gore-filled tracks. One, entitled 'Hell Asylum', will feature guest leads from Steve Swanson (SIX FEET UNDER, ex-MASSACRE), Ralph Santolla (ex-DEICIDE, OBITUARY etc.) and James Murphy (ex-DEATH, ex-TESTAMENT etc.). The album is nearing completion with all of the guitars and drums tracked and the bass and vocals nearly done. Mixing is set to begin at the end of March. Regarding the direction the band has taken since recruiting new members last year, Williams had this to say, "Whether it's the infusion of the new members and their particular backgrounds or just the way we were going already... the new album is faster, thrashier, heavier and tighter. Oldschool Crossover Hardcore / Thrash meets Death Metal." Today we have this Interview with this Obscure Deathmetallers from France... Affliction Gate!

1.- Hails guys! First of all, could you tell us your names and positions and how did you form the band?
- AG was born by the gathering of JP (drums), Herostratos (vocals) and me, Grief, (guitar) in Spring 2006. We are 3 long times friends and Metalheads so, we just thought it was finally time to start a band together with the aim to play traditional Death Metal as it used to be in its glorious era back in late 80’s and early 90’s. A couple of friends complete the line up as session members for lead guitar and bass duties.

2.- What bands inspired you to create Affliction Gate with this amazing and real Death Metal style?
- I can mention names as BENEDICTION, MASSACRE, GRAVE, UNLEASHED, ASPHYX, BOLT THROWER, MORGOTH, MANTAS / DEATH etc... Those are the most obvious influences. To pay homage to the early cult stuffs of those bands is what we are all about. We don’t care if we are not original : anyway, we all know that all the essential riffs and releases of the genre have been already done between 1987 and 1993. We just want to contribute to keep the ancient flame alive !

3.- How much time did you take to have ready the first Affliction Gate EP songs and recording? Do you have other recordings before this EP?
- Well, in spite of the fact that the band was formed in 2006 we could only record our first EP in August 2008. Due to other personal priorities, AFFLICTION GATE was quite dormant for 2 years. Anyway, that’s old story and our band is 100% active now. We recorded “severance...” during various sessions in August. It was home made recording with limited equipment but I think the result is really decent. The songs which appear on this EP were already composed and structured since 2006. Same for those on the album except “the worst is yet to come” which was composed in 2009. “Severance...” is the very first recording and release of AG, actually.

4.- The past year released your debut album "Aeon of Nox (From Darkness Comes Liberation)" with who worked for this album, and how was the contact with Vincent Crowley from the mighty "Acheron"?
- Actually, I was already yet briefly in touch with Vincent back in the early 2000’s. Then, when the EP was out I got in touch with him again through Myspace and we traded some stuffs. When working on the intro of this song in rehearsal, we thought about adding a guest for the narration part. So, the name of Vincent came to our minds as we knew his voice could fit fucking well ! I wrote him to propose this idea and he answered that he was ok to do it. Some weeks later we received the Wave files through Internet Then, we thought it would be great if he could do more vocals and backing vocals on some parts of the song which he agreed again. It was very easy and great to deal with him and we are extremely honoured to have his voice on the album.

5.- What can you say about this song "Cattle Burner"?
- Lyrics deal with a battle against conformity put in an apocalyptical warfare’s context and including some philosophical hints refering to Nietzsche’s work.

6.- You played with "Arghoslent" right? How are these guys? They are seriously criticized about their radical ideas... so, i´m just curious.
- Yes, we shared the bill with ARGHOSLENT and they are cool guys. As far as we are concerned, we have no interest at all in political issues, be it from the left winged or right winged side. So, radical opinions or not, we don’t care about this matter, anyway. On another hand, for our very first gig, we shared the bill with the French band IBOGAINE who stands for the complete ideological opposite since they are a part of the “Metalheads against Racism” campaign. As you can figure out by yourself, we believe that freedom of speech is primordial especially in Art where no limit should be imposed as we consider that bands have the right to express what they want.

7.- How was the contact to sign with Metal Inquisition Records and how is your relation with them?
- While looking for a deal for the debut album, I got in touch with several labels and METAL INQUISITION is the one who made us the most honorable and concrete offer. A more oriented Death Metal label is what we needed so, to sign with this label suit us well. We have excellent relations with Steffen / MI and he is doing some really cool job for us at the moment.

8.- Talking about French scene, how is it in these days? In the past you had many great bands like Massacra, Crusher, Agressor, Loudblast, Mercyless, Supuration, Mutilated, Dagon, ADX... Now i don´t really know a good number of great bands from France, almost all the bands plays Brutal Ultra Technical stuff, what dou you think about this?
- Traditional Death Metal as we play is truly a minority here. Good old school sounding bands that need to be mentioned are BLOODY SIGN, NECROWRETCH, ZOLDIER NOIZ (thrash / death), BRUTAL REBIRTH, THE SEVEN GATES, NECROS, RITUALIZATION, RESISTANCE (heavy / thrash). To keep it short : Death Metal needs atmosphere, soul / feeling and hooks, not all this empty constant blast beating & musical masturbation ! All these kinds of stuffs are really annoying and uninteresting, if you ask me.

9.- How is a gig of Affliction Gate?
- We only played 3 gigs so far. The last one with ARGHOSLENT being almost one year ago now but new gigs will happen on May. We rather chose to concentrate on the album recording and release last year, actually. To get back to your question, we simply try to offer a pure Death Metal ceremony & a travel back into time to the crowd !

10.- For you what is the meaning of Affliction Gate, why did you choose this name for the band?
- This is a quite conceptual and philosophical name. AFFLICTION GATE means a path of no return & of severance to reach strength and freedom through despair and death. It’s Herostratos who came up with this name being the perfect symbol of our dark perspectives.

11.- How can we stay underground with fashions which kill genres like Thrash Metal, Death Metal and Black Metal?
- The best is to ignore all these trends. At a time where you can find eveyrthing on Internet (even the most Underground stuffs), I think to be Underground is much more a state of mind which rather means integrity, dedication, passion and sincerity above all. As long as you do no compromise, stay true to yourselves and to what you stand for, that’s the only thing that matters. All the fucking silly trends of the world will never reach us, anyway. I am a Metal fan since the late 80’s so I saw lots of trends come and go but I will always stick to traditional stuffs, be it in Hard, Heavy, Speed / Thrash, Death or Black Metal genres. Some can call me a regressive and nostalgic guy but I take it as a compliment for sure ! (laughs)

12.- Could you describe in 5 words the sound of Affliction Gate?
- Total old school DM worship & tribute!

13.- Could you recommend us some great French Metal Bands?
- I guess you mainly mentionned them in your question 8. Just add NO RETURN “contamination rises” as well as CATACOMB demos and you have all the essential stuffs that France can propose in Death Metal.

14.- Plans for this 2010?
- To prepare the upcoming gigs in late May, including a participation to the Festung Open Air in Bitterfeld, Germany. Of course, we are also working on new material and we will probably record a DEATH / MASSACRE cover “corpsegrinder” as bonus track for the limited LP version of “aeon of nox...” to be out this year. Recently, we also thought about filming a video clip for the song “knights of scorn” maybe.

15.- For last anything to add or ask?

ACHERON have officially added two new guitarists to the band: lead guitarist Art Taylor, who has been working with the band for close to a year now, and guitarist Eric Stewart. We are back! This is the Interview with this great Deathmetallers from Italy... Undead Creep!

1.- Firstable could you tell us your names and positions in the band?
- Hi there. Well, the line-up consists of David (drums), Sandro (vocals), Maso (bass and backing screams) and myself (Giorgio) on guitar and backing growls.

2.- Some of you are part of Haemophagus (Kick Ass Band!), how do you decide to create Undead Creep?
- Thank you for the nice words about Haemophagus, amigo! Actually there were many reasons for us to create such a band. David had thought about it for quite a long time, and when he asked me to join the project I just said "sure, I'm on it!". We’ve always shared a huge passion for that old-school swedish vibe, the early "sunlight studios" era dödsmetall bands and all that stuff: the first cover we’ve ever recorded as Haemophagus was Hypocrisy’s “Osculum Obscenum” on our “Into the Mortuary” demo, so, in a way, Undead Creep can be seen as the natural consequence of this passion. Moreover, we all wanted to focus on certain aspects of death metal that we couldn't fully develop with our other bands and projects. Our only aim here is to play obscure, straight-ahead death metal the way it was meant to be. It's a simple yet very clear basis.

3.- You have the classic old Swedish Death Metal sound, they are your most important influence?
- The old swedish sound and Ekeroth's mind-opening book have both played a major role in our decision to set up Undead Creep. Anyway, our main influences are Carnage, Nihilist, Grotesque, Nirvana 2002, Evocation, early Therion and Unleashed, but the list goes on and on. Primordial black/thrash gods like Bathory, Slaughter Lord, Merciless and non-swedish bands like the almighty AUTOPSY obviously have also had a strong influence on our music, as you can hear on certain downtempo breaks.

4.- Was the band already named Undead Creep at the time? Did you come up with the name? What inspired the band's name?
- I came up with that name and that's the only one we ever had. I thought we needed something conceptually horrific and easy to remember at the same time. It had to reflect the band’s purpose so we just needed something quite minimal and primitive, max. two words. Usually, long band names are so fucking lame…

5.- The two songs in your myspace from your demo "Undead Creep" sounds killer, with who worked in the recording of this demo?
- The recording process was handled by our common friend and producer Spadino, who recorded all the songs in our filthy rehearsal room. I think the demo has a really “live” feel, although we’ve recorded all the tracks separately. Apart from a few guitar solos there haven’t been extra overdubs. We’ll never record something we can’t actually play live.

6.- How many time did you take to wrote and make the music? And in the lyrics what is your main influence?
- It didn’t take long for us to write the songs and the lyrics. The whole writing process was completed within three, maybe four months, and once we had all the material together we just rehearsed as much as we could until we felt the songs were ready to be recorded. As regards the lyrics, they deal with the most classic death metal topics such as apocalyptic visions, occult and the living dead etc. with an ubiquitous gloomy twist. Gore as we know it is not my main goal when writing the lyrics to a Creep song.

7.- Talking about foreign bands, with who do you like share stage or record some split?
- There would be a million, and most of them aren’t existing anymore, but if possible I’d love to share the stage or a 7” split with Kaamos, Death Breath, Dead Congregation, Tribulation, Necros Christos or Bombs of Hades. In my opinion they’re all killer bands and they have a quite personal approach to old school death metal, especially Necros Christos.

8.- How is the Italian scene at the moment?
- I can’t really say our scene is alive and well. We only have a few great death/black metal acts, bands like Horrid, Eroded, Voids of Vomit and Blasphemophagher, but it seems like death metal (the way I mean it) will forever dwell in the dark corners of the Italian underground.

9.- I understand you already sign with Dark Descent Records and Dark Blasphemies Records, how was the contact for work with this guys?
- It all started when David got in touch with Dave of Dark Blasphemies recs. for an Haemophagus-related trade. David told Dave/Dark Blasphemies about this new project coming out and he was immediately interested in it. We sent him our demo as soon as it was finished and a few days later he offered us a non-written deal for a full-length album, co-produced by the American Dark Descent recs. Both labels seem to be really good at what they do, so I hope it’ll be a smooth collaboration.

10.- Could you describe in your own words Death Metal?
- To quote an excerpt from “Into the Grave” ‘s liner notes: “If aliens came down from space and asked me what death metal is, I would put on this record and say this is it, GRAVE.”

11.- Now are you working in new stuff? Maybe a Full Lenght album?
- Yes, we’re currently writing some new shit for our first full-length album. We already have four songs, so it is realistic to say that the album will be recorded by the end of the spring so it can be eventually released in the middle of 2010.

12.- Plans for this 2010?
- Our first demo will be soon re-printed on tape by an Italian label called Unholy Domain records. I’d also like to play some gigs here and there when possible, but it’s getting harder and harder to arrange a good death metal concert down here as we may also have to tour or play live with our other bands.

13.- Anything to add or ask?
- Again, thanks a lot for the kind words and for the opportunity you gave us, your Zine kicks ass! ONLY DEATH IS REAL…

Hails! This is the interview with King Fowley from the legendary Deceased!!!

1.- With 25 years into the Underground, for you what is the best thing, that Deceased gives to you like a band?
- I have loved all of our years of learning our craft and performing our craft and every year getting a little bit better at it all. It’s all been what it is and it's all been a learning and living experience. the band means a lot to me! i am very happy to have had it for so long, it's personally kept me sane and out of trouble!

2.- Please introduce us to the new warriors in Deceased with a few words...
- The new warriors are Shane Fuegel on guitar, a long time friend and a wild as hell guitar player. I’ve always loved his band Biovore and we've always had a special bond as Voivod fanatics! He’s really added some wild, 'raw' edge to the guitar sound which i love!
Matt Altieria is the young buck in the band on guitar live and he's a real speed merchant on guitar who loves the fast picking stuff and really has a love for the energy and weird mayhem that is Deceased! He’s been a friend online for many years and now he's part of the band. Eric Mayes is an incredible drummer who I’ve known for almost 20 years. He plays in Biovore with Shane and I’ve always loved his drumming style and power hitting! We also have Chris Paolino filling in on some gigs on bass this year for Les whose about to marry and taking a little time off this year to prepare it all. He’s a thrash mutant and a great friend. he's busted ass to get the songs up to par quickly on bass so we can keep on rocking on the road! i love these guys! Couldn’t do it without them! Mike and Les of course are ready for the new lp and are vital parts to the Deceased attack!

3.- What is the main concept in the band?
- To be ourselves. To not cater to anything other then making and playing the best music we can possibly create. Doing things at our speed and in our own frame of mine. Sincerity, dedication and togetherness is how we live!!!

4.- How much differs the sound between the classic era with Relapse Records and this new era of Deceased?
- It all comes from the heart and it comes out how it does from whatever is creeping through all our minds when we sit down to write at any given time. We have always had melody and always had speed but we've also had ideas that took years to work up to and we've bettered our instruments as we've gone. Everything is made with full on sincerity and everything we put out is where we are at the date it's released! We started out to play fast and heavy and weird and we sit here today to play fast, heavy, and weird and make memorable tunes!

5.- Zombies, death, horror are the mainly themes in your lyrics, what inspires you to make this kind of lyrics?
- I have a weird though pattern at times. Very morbid! The zombies came from the early days and 'birth by radiation' demo. i wanted to do that story on record so we did 'fearless undead machines' record in 97. The horror/death themes are what i wanted to write about and why i chose the name Deceased all those years ago. It’s fitting and it's a spinning wheel inside me always. Death is such a thought provoking thing!

6.- Do you still have some memories about your first gigs?
- Absolutely! i love the gigs we've done, all of 'em! All are memories in many, many ways! the early gigs i remember playing parties locally without singing (i hadn't got it down yet while playing drums) and just ripping through Sodom, Bathory, Slayer, Hirax, DRI covers along with early originals like 'gutwrench', 'after the bloodshed' and 'sick thrash'! People not knowing what to make of us. borrowing equipment we didn't have. Making friends and enemies with local bands for many reasons. Smoke bombs lit off in people’s living rooms. Huge keg parties with 500 freaks. Cops busting places. Renting out local halls to do shows and trashing the places. it's always fun to think back!

7.- Do you think your old fans appreciate the evolution of Deceased or do they probably prefer the straight forward brutality of your earlier releases?
-I think it varies person to person. i have people come up and tell me 'play the luck of the corpse stuff' then the next guy say 'i want to hear the new material' then the next say 'i love it all'! i think people appreciate us being true to ourselves musically and i think they appreciate us 'growing' as a band as the years go on. it is never gonna be a phony sound from us and that is the thing people i think know most of all!

8.- How important are the lyrics in Deceased?
- Very important! i want the listener to understand the vocals and get an idea of the horror tinged tales i put together. i want the tunes to fit with the lyrics and vice versa. lyrics have become much more to me as time goes on. Early on it was just words that rhymed put into place to shout out, now it's more from the mind of a storyteller!

9.- Do you still listen to the same music these days that had influenced your writing when Deceased originally started out? Any new bands that you enjoy in the same way?
- I love tons of music and always have. i love my metal and love all the bands/albums/demos of those bands that influenced me. Voivod, Fate, Venom, Sabbath, Kiss, early Slayer, Exciter, Sodom, Repulsion, Maiden, Saxon, English Dogs, MDC, Ramones, all of it. a wide variety of sounds and bands have always lived within my musical tastes. As for new bands doing the death metal thing, I appreciate some of it but most bands sadly now just make it extreme with no substance. Throw away songs and little talent! That upsets me! To me the elders that write songs and deliver the intensity will always own my heart!

10.- Since 2001 you have a lot of Best Of Compilations and one EP, one Full length and some Splits, what is the reason of this, and why don´t make some new Full Length albums?
- We have had some major problems with the band and my health in this last decade. i had a blood clot in my lung in 2002 and a stroke in 2004! that really took time to recover from. we also lost long time band member Mark Adams a few years back and Mike Smith retired from playing live a year before that. We needed to put new people in and get it right. We don't half ass and i wouldn't just throw some guys on stage and call it Deceased! We also left Relapse records and needed time to regroup on that. All of our releases to us have been worthwhile. Two all covers albums with punk and metal covers of bands we grew up on. a 2 cd set of all our demos, some never released at all, not even on tape. an official live cd. a remix of 'the blueprints for madness' album as well as other singled out demos on cd as well. The only comp was a 'best of' for a polish mag exclusively! We expected to have a new lp by 2007 but then Mark left. it took awhile to get things right. but we've been writing through it all and the new lp is almost here! Look for it summer 2010!!!

11.- By the way did you choose the bands (Sacrificial Blood and Crucified Mortals are a great bands) for the Split albums?
- Both are friends! Cool guys and they asked us! it's been great playing with both bands live at times and we've enjoyed the splits very much with them!

12.- How do you personally judge “The Blueprints of Madness” in retrospect? Are you still Satisfied with it?
-I love the music, sound stinks. i remixed it and it got a bit better but it'll never be 'right'! i love the weirdness of the record and we really did go all out to freak things out and go left field a bit. a very odd record but one i appreciate and enjoy outside of the sound of it!!!

13.- How was the experience to do a Live Album like "Up The Tombstones"?
- Great! fun as hell night that was! Tons of friends showed up locally and we had a hell of a party afterwards. a few songs never made the live record 'frozen screams', 'feasting on skulls' and 'two minutes to midnight' got taken off because the mix had a few problems and the snare mic was lost but it came out ok sound wise and served its purpose. Great memories for sure!!!!

14.- Could you please answer spontaneously to these words...
- Deceased: a very important part of my life!
Arlington: where i grew up! 'Home'!
Death: the end of life. a never ending wonder!
Heavy Metal: the best music ever made when performed correctly!

15.- What are the concrete plans of the band for this 2010?
- Recording and releasing our new LP 'surreal overdose' on our own record label Shrieks from the hearse records. lots of gigs in the U. S. to celebrate our 25th anniversary of the band! And getting the website back up, which it is now... upthetombstones.net

Cleveland, Ohio's Death / Grinders EMBALMER are currently writing material for their next full length album, to be entitled "The Apocalyptic Bloodshower" (label tba). According to the band "the new material is spewing out sicker than ever, and sounding way more intense and brutal than any of the previous stuff." The album is announced as being a return to the classick elements of their "Rotting Remains" and "There Was Blood Everywhere" releases of the '90s, "but with faster, face peeling grinds, a heavier overall sound / production, and all the trademark brutal and tortured vocals that gave the band a great buzz in the mid '90s, leading to their previous deal with Relapse Records." EMBALER have just released a brand new "2009 Promo II" that will be shopped to labels, and also be available for free through the band's myspace site www.myspace.com/embalmerband. The material originally appeared on their 2009 promo, but it got completely re-mixed / mastered with brand new vocals and other improvements. This is the Interview with Classic Death Metallers Fatalist!

1.- Firstable for those unfamiliar with the band, please give us a history on the formation of Fatalist.
- Neil-Wes and I started the band in May of 2006. We went through a few drummers and bass players in the first year before we got a stable line up together. We recorded a demo cd called "Loss" on the end of 2007 and released our album "The Depths of Inhumanity" in November of 2009 on Ibex Moon Records.

2.- Why play in the vein of Old Swedish Death Metal and not the US Death Metal style? And who are your main influence to create music?
- Well, because even though we love a lot of American bands, the European bands always meant more to us. This style was just something that Wes and I wanted to do. We wanted to use the Swedish HM-2 distortion and it makes everything sound Swedish even when it is not supposed to. We thought people would hate us for playing this style, but that is not the case. A lot of European fans are into FATALIST. Our influences are Entombed, Dismember, Carnage, Unleashed, Grave, Edge of Sanity, Evocation, Autopsy, Death, Obituary, Asphyx, Morgoth, Gorguts, etc.

3.- Do you note some important differences between your demo "Loss" and your debut album "The Dephts of Humanity"?
- No, the album is actually just the "Loss" demo plus 4 new songs. It is sort of a re-release of the "Loss" cd with bonus songs. i wish we didn't have to do that, but we really didn't have a choice.

4.- How was the recording porcess of "The Dephts of Humanity", how many time did you take to wrote and make the music?
- The recording was done by me in my home studio and it almost killed me. I spent a long time editing and mixing this album. The writing was on and off for 2.5 years. i wrote Morbid Derangement as we were recording the drums for the other songs. Tyler couldn't even learn the song so I had to play the drums on that song for the recording.

5.- What can you say about "Life Deploration"?
- It is one of Wes' songs. He actually had this song on a demo before we even started the band. You would have to ask him what the lyrics are about. I have no idea what he wrote that one about.

6.- With who worked for this album, i can hear the classic Swedish Death Metal tone, did you use the HM - 2 pedal?
- I recorded, mixed, mastered, produced the album at my home studio. Yes, that is the HM-2 pedal you hear on the album. i hope to have an even better guitar sound on the next cd.

7.- How was the contact with Ibex moon Records, directly with John?
- I contacted John after i bought the last Nominon cd he put out. John liked our demo cd and said that he wanted to work with us. I talked with him for about 2 months before i signed the contract. We are lucky that everything worked out great for us.

8.- What happen with Wes and Tyler, are they still in the band?
- No, they are both out of the band. This was a decision that was a long time coming. I can't really say what i want to for this answer, so i will just say that there comes a time when you can't babysit people anymore.. They weren't really active in the band for a very long time. Fatalist would not exist for much longer if we continued with the same line up. We had to turn down some big shows because of them and I have worked to hard for this behavior to continue. I am trying to be very politically correct with my answer here.

9.- What do you think about this bands playing Technichal Brutal Slamming Gore Death Grind stuff, do you like some of this bands?
- Well, Art likes a lot of this sort of stuff. I do like early Dying Fetus and the band Prophecy from Texas, but that's about it. It just doesn't do anything for me. I still do listen to a lot of Grind and Gore Grind though, but mostly the classic bands and Rotton Sound, Nasum, Afgrund, etc.

10.- What is the meaning of Fatalist for you as a band?
- Fatalist is just a way for us to create traditional Death Metal with real songs. You shouldn't have to listen to our songs 100 times before you understand our riffs. If it takes you that many times, than I am not doing my job correctly.

11.- Could you describe in 3 words the sound of Fatalist?
- Traditional Death Metal.

12.- Plans for this 2010?
- I hope to get this new line up going soon so we can play some festivals and hopefully come out to Europe this year. I am writing the new album as we speak, so it shouldn't be more than a year before I start recording that.

13.- Anything to add or ask?

Blabbermouth.net have posted the following news: Joe Ptacek, former vocalist of the long-defunct 1990s Illinois Death Metal band BROKEN HOPE, died last night (Wednesday, January 20) of an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head. He was 37 years old.

Two musicians from the band After Death from the UK died yesterday afternoon (Thursday, January 21) drowned in a beach in Aracaju, Sergipe, near 4 and a half hours by bus from Salvador. They are: Leon Villalba and Timothy Kennelly. They are the supporting act for the MASTER tour in Brazil along with Brazilian Predator. The Brazilian site infonet.com.br says: "A tragedy killed two young foreigners from the British band After Death. They were in the Sergipe capital Aracaju for a show with the American band MASTER that would take place on Friday, 22 at a street parking in Santo Amaro, center of the city. According to the soldier Rodrigo, from the Fire Department, the two young men were bathing in the Atalaia beach, around 14:30, near the Aquarium when they drowned. According to the soldier, teams from the Fire Department were deployed, but when they arrived on the scene, they found only the body of guitarist Leon Villalba, 21. Bassist Timothy Kennelly, 18, remains missing. The soldier said that when the drowning happened, the beach did not show any current. "We do not know what happened, because the site did not contain any ditch or stream and also the floor of the tide was dry," laments the soldier, pointing out that the foreigners may have been victims of lack of experience on entering the water. Another site said that one of the guys was drowning and the other tried to save him, but ended up drowning too. The label Death Toll Records, responsible for the tour, has posted the following official statement: "Despite the death of members Leon Villalba and Timothy Kennelly (body not found yet) of the London based band AFTER DEATH drowning in Aracaju, the "Masters of Hate Tour 2010" will continue, mainly, in awe to the public. In talks with members of AFTER DEATH they said "we are all still grieving and shocked by what has happened, but we have assurances that they would like the shows were made. Do this in tribute to them!".

This is the Interview with Lasse Pyykkö from the Surreal and Mythic Phlegethon!!!

1.- At this moment who are in the line up of Phlegethon?
- Actually I´m the only member in the band at the moment.

2.- What is the meaning of Phlegethon?
- We picked up the name from Greek mythology. Phlegethon is a firestream in Hades.

3.- Back in time, do you remember how was the Finland scene? What differences do you note with the actual scene?
- The scene back in the good ol´days was great. Lots of interesting young bands creating something fresh and exciting. Nowasdays the scene in Finland is doing well again. There´re many good bands around and many of them are strongly influenced by the older Finnish DM bands so it´s a good direction. But man... although the scene is interesting again it´s a bit unfair to compare it to the old times. Back then death metal was like an adventure. Nowadays it ´s pretty predictable. Don´t get me wrong! I think these times are good! Things could be worse. A lot worse! It´s just that the greatest and the most exciting era of metal lies in the past and it won´t come back. We are recycling the same old ideas again and again but at least surprisingly many of us are doing it damn well! As long it´s like that I cannot complain. The modern styles of metal don´t really impress me. Modern polished production and all that is not very metal in my book. So this so called “Renaissance” of old school death metal is a good thing. You can still find exciting new bands that reek of total death. Of course some of these new DM bands are mere unispired copycat stuff but that was the case more or less in the early 90´ s as well.

4.- After Phlegethon you was involved in some other projects?
- When Phlegethon broke up in ´92 we contued playing music together. It was just totally different stuff and that´s another story. After that I played in different projects but it was nothing serious. I was musically quite numb for many years until 2006 when I came back with a new Phlegethon demo. That led to the birth of my newer bands Vacant Coffin, Hooded menace, Claws and some others.

5.- I had the chance to hear your demo "Neutral Forest" and the EP "Fresco Lungs", what was you thinking when you make "Female Sabbath"? Is fucking insane!
- When I composed that song I was deeply possessed by “Darkness Descends” from Dark Angel. To be more specific I was heavily inspired by the title track of this brilliant album. I wanted “Female Sabbath” to have lots of fast parts that lasted for a good while. This needed to be a furious track. When Juha wrote the lyrics for it, it was just typical Phlegethon lyrism. Surreal and mystic. I remember once Juha finished it, Juha didn ´t have a title for it. Spontaneously I dropped the words “female sabbath” in Finnish language and we all started laughing. We translated it into English and there we had a good title for the song.

6.- In that time, did you never had a offer deal with some Label for a Full Length album?
- Actually Witchhunt Records originally asked us to do a full lenght but instead we offered them a mini LP. There was an interest after “Fresco Lungs” mini LP/CD but it didn´t led to a deal because we had drastically changed our style during ´91 already. We played pretty crazy crossover crap. We fused almost everything we listened at the time. That was a bit too much for one of the leading extreme metal labels that was interested in us. They were pretty confused after hearing our latest rehearsal tape at the time, haha!

7.- What is your main motivation to create music?
- The joy of overmatching myself and simply just good music. That makes me want to grab a guitar and start writing songs. It´s a reaction to the stimulus. Also bad music can cause a similar reaction or reading a mainstream music magazine with all these crappy bands featured, hehe! So in a way some of my music comes out from frustration too, I guess.

8.- Do you remember the compilation "Weird tales of madness vol. I"? How was the contact to participate?
- Yes I remember that compilation! I don´t remember at all how we got featured tho.

9.- Why do you split two times, the first in 1992 and the second in 1995?
- Originally we split up because we were dead tired with playing death/thrash metal. It wasn´t exciting nor very special anymore. So we eneded up playing this insane crossover stuff then we got bored doing that too and finally called it a day in ´92. We got together in ´95 just to record one demo “Promo 1995”. We don´t regard it as a real reunion. We just recorded a couple of songs for the fun of it and disappeared again. It wasn´t a serious attempt to make a return. We could (and should) have used a different moniker instead of Phlegethon for that demo. It doesn´t sound like Phlegethon at all. It wasn´t meant to be a Phlegethon demo in the first place. For some reason we just ended up using that name again.

10.- In this period what did you do?
- During ´92 - ´95 (up until ´97 or so) we were playing punkish stuff under the monikers Tallow and later One Trick Pony. We enjoyed playing something very simple after all that complex Phlegethon stuff. It was refreshing. Now as I look at it I´d say we were drifting. We were a bit lost.

11.- When and why you decide to reform Phlegethon, from who comes the idea?
- I´m the one to blame for it. I think it was in 2005 when I got this almost compulsive urge to write new Phlegethon material. Why now? That´s a mystery to me too. I was spinning again some of my old fave metal albums like crazy and also absorbed lots of stuff that I missed during my absence from the metal scene. For some reason I felt very inspired to write metal again. You know, the idea was lurking in my mind every now and then and in 2006 I was ready to record a new Phlegethon demo “Totems Within”. Of course it didn´t feel exactly like in the old days since the line up was just me and Saku. Juha was also put in the line up although he only wrote the lyrics and didn´t touch a guitar. He didn´t want to do that. Saku played only the guitar solos while I was taking care of all the rest. Of course I wanted Teemu and Jussi to join the band but it was impossible. Teemu wasn´t interested and Jussi was too busy with other things.

12.- Talking about the lyrics, what are the main themes of the songs?
- Phlegethon´s lyrics have always been about our odd dreams and visions. Something that flows from the writers subconscious. They are quite surreal and mystic. Like some dark surrealist poetry or something. I can´t analyze them any better than that. They are very spontaneous.

13.- You recorded two demos before the reunion, this demos are available?
- They were originally released on tape of course and they haven´t been available since ´91 or so.

14.- Now you released a Best Of Complation "Drifting In The Crypt", how was the contact for work with Xtreem Music?
- Yes, this 2CD release includes the entire discography of Phlegethon. Mr. Dave Rotten from the label contacted me pretty soon after I put up a myspace page for the band and he threw me the idea about reissuing the old material. At first it was supposed to be just the first demos + some rehearsal and live tracks but in the end of the day it bloated to 2CD including all released material and the rehearsal and live tracks were left out.

15.- How is or was a gig of Phlegethon?
- We did only like 10 gigs. I´m not sure if we were very interesting live band to most of those people since we didn´t headbang or move on the stage much at all. Anyway, the crowd seemed to like us and stage-dived their ribs out. We just focused to play our songs well and that´s it. We played gigs with bands such as Xysma, Afflicted, Funebre, Old Funeral, Disgrace, Convulse, Sentenced, Demigod, Amorphis and so on. We didn´t enjoy performing that much because we felt like it was a bit awkward to be in the center of attention.

16.- For you what is the meaning of Death Metal?
- To offer a dark and vital alternative in the music field. Something that can be more than just music. It´s offers an comprehensive experience and a life style.

17.- Could you recommend us some Finnish Metal bands?
- Sure! Here goes a few names that keep the scene strong up here: Ascended, Lie In Ruins, Forced Kill, Krypts, Stench of Decay, Vorum, Slugathor, Death Toll 80k, Speedtrap...

18.- Plans for this 2010?
- The entire Phlegethon discography on 2 cd´s “Drifting in the Crypt” should be out any day soon. There will also be at least one surprise Plegethon release in 2010. So I´m not going to ruin the surprise by unveiling it just yet. I also hope to write and record some new Phlegethon material but we´ll see about that. I don´t want to make empty promises tho. We´ll see then.

19.- Anything to add or ask?
- Thanks for this interview! Now I will crawl back to my inner crypt and listen to Grave Miasma! They rule all!

Ventura, CA-based Stockholm-styled Death Metallers, FATALIST, have released a video for the sone 'Frozen Epitaph' from their Ibex Moon Records debut, "The Depths Of Inhumanity". Guitarist / vocalist Neil Burkdoll had the following to say about the video, which can be viewed here: "So here is our video for 'Frozen Epitaph'. The song is from our recently released album "The Depths Of Inhumanity" on Ibex Moon Records. This video was made to promote the European release of our album on January 19th, 2010. It was a lot of hard work and it was totally low budget, but we think it does the job. Shooting this video was the first time the 4 of us were even in the same room for at least 6 months and it was probably the last time as well. 1.- Hails guys! How is going on the things with Kill?
- Warslaughter – Hails! Things are going well. We quite recently did a gig in Oslo with Faustcoven and Ghoul Cult which was a chaotic discharge of satanic mayhem. Now we’re mostly concentrating on rehearsing new tracks for an album.

2.- Your last album "No Catharsis" is a great piece of obscurity, aggression and power... With who work for this album?
– The album was recorded in studio Dekay by a guy called DK, a friend of the band. It’s a small basement studio. Just the kind of place for band like KILL as we prefer to dwell in the darkness and filth of cellars and dungeons.

3.- What is the main influence for you to create music? You make a real morbid atmosphere!
– We invoke the darkness beyond and the hate within to take shape in the songs of KILL. In terms of music, we’re mostly influenced by ourselves and pungent, old Black Metal.

4.- Musically speaking, do you note some differences between "Inverted Funeral" and "No Catharsis"?
– Yes. For one thing the songs on No Catharsis and generally shorter than on Inverted Funeral. Secondly I would say they are more focused on aggression, speed and brutality. Inverted Funeral was more, well, ”epic” is the wrong word, but something like that, with its emphasis on long songs and its wide use of slow- and midtempo. I would say that it also was more second wave Black Metal-sounding than No Catharsis is.

5.- What can you say about this song "Rites Of Bestial Impurity"?
– It is about personal spiritual unification with Hell through means of ritual desecration and deliverence of the self unto the infernal spirits.

6.- How is the process to create a song?
– Usually the music is forged through rehearsal first, then lyrics are added.

7.- In the past you had some line up changes, this is the most stronger line up?
– This is absolutely the strongest line-up. Everyone is dedicated to KILL and the hellish covenant of our union.

8.- Do you believe in the Nordic Mythology?
– No.

9.- Is there any band can you recommend us?
– Loads. But from Gothenburg I would say Karnarium and Morbid Insulter, our brothers in crime and debauchery. Something I’ve been listening a lot to lately is also Goat Tyrant and Cultes des Ghoules, both from Poland. Excellent Black and Death Metal. Finally, to shamelessly promote myself, I would recommend my other band Funeral Curse. First demo Witchcraft and Hellfire soon to be re-released through Morbid Jehovah Productions.

10.- For you what is the meaning of Death?
– Descent into perdition. Ascent into the Great Satan.

11.- What do you think about this trend of depressive Black Metal bands?
– I couldn’t find it more uninteresting. I prefer old Burzum to modern shit like Hypothermia. Who gives a fuck whether someone thinks black coffee is a reflection of ones miserable life? Why don’t they just write shitty poems to show their shitty girlfriends and spare the rest of us the pain of having a scene overflowing with crappy records…

12.- In your own words what is Black Metal?
– Metal sworn to darkness and evil. Rough shit, the feeble wiped out.

13.- Plans for this 2010?
– To play more gigs and release the album, which is yet untitled. And to see the release of No Catharsis on vinyl.

14.- Anything you wanna add or ask?
– Thanx for the interview. KILL is the vessel of infernal vengeance. Hell shall prevail!

Interview: Relentless (Usa/Poland)

Hails! Today i have this great interview with Rick Buentello from Relentless!!!

1.- Could you tell us a little bit about the history of Relentless, and at the moment are you a one man band?
- Sure, Relentless started in 1998 in Northern Virginia after I finished High School and left home when I was 17. For the first few years I wondered around playing in band after band, but could never find the right one. During that time Alternative music was going full swing, and everyone wanted to play really awful acoustic music or rap rock. The metal bands that I did find to play were always either really lame death metal, or gay power metal with too many songs about magical elves, etc.,... So I finally decided to form a band of my own which proved to be very difficult since there were very few muscians to choose from. After auditioning about a billion muscians, I managed to find a line up to go and record a one song promo in 1999. It had just one song called "Wait For The Lightning" and was only on cassette tape. After the one song promo, I made a four song EP with a slightly different line up which. Shortly after that, the band broke up, I moved to Texas and tried to form Relentless again. But I couldn't find the right people, so I started to play in other bands as a result. After about six years I moved back to Northern Virginia and got the idea to start Relentless back up. I felt that the music could have gone father then it had and that it was worth it to give it another try. I made another three song demo with the songs that you see here, this time with session musicians. It was never released over the next two years due to just crazy shit going on in my life all the time. Soon after I found a solid lineup, wrote more songs, and started to play out live. I think we were playing out once a week at least for a while. But as with all bands, people started to argue, fight, etc., and that line up dissappeared. But I've got the recordings that I made during that time that I am using for this demo, and new recordings of all 9 songs that will be used later for a full length. I think that's about it,... That pretty much brings us up to where we are now.

2.- Why do you move to Poland?
- Mainly because my fiance lives here. But I find Poland to be a really beautiful country. The language and people are beautiful, and the food, beer, and vodka are AMAZING ahaha! It's really cool to know that I can drive a few hours here or there and be in Wroclaw, Prague, Dresden, etc.,.... And Poland LOVES their metal here! So I've been getting a lot of support as of late and I think 2010 will be very interesting for Relentless.

3.- How was the recording process of your EP "Wait for the Lighting", do you have some other recordings?
- To tell you the truth, I don't remember, ahahaa.... I was passed out drunk and whatever else, in the parking lot of the studio. The next day when I heard the recordings, I liked about one of the songs really. It was never mixed I found out later. We ran out of time and money. But you will hear two of the songs from that album on the full length LP coming out later this year. Storm The Gates and Dressed to Possess to be exact. And they will sound a hell of a lot better due to mixing, better guitar playing etc.,.. I even have new arrangements for one of the songs. As for other recordings, Relentless was on various compilations in magazines such as Pit, Brave Words And Bloody Knuckles, etc.,.. back in the day. Also, I had a one song promo in the very beginning. Maybe someday I'll that out as a bonus track, ahaha...

4.- I read about a new Demo for this 2010, is ready? What can we expect of this new Demo?
- Well it's just about ready. I am still waiting for some artwork and I am fixing some vocal work on a brand new song called Extinction. So by the middle to end of January it will be available finally. It will have five songs including the four you hear on MySpace and additionally one more. So War Without End, Drunk And Wild, Lycanthropy, Extinction, and Dead But Wide Awake. The cover art will be done by Polish artist Piotr Tylek, and it will be on a CD-R since it's just a demo. There's also going to be two vinyl pressings coming up as well, with Relentless doing a cover song on one of the vinyls. So look out for that as well.

5.- Who are your most important influence to create music?
- I think number one has got to Megadeth. My first album I ever bought was Peace Sells But Who's Buying back when I was 12 or 13 years old around 1988. I didn't even know what they sounded like, I just thought the album cover looked cool. Then I heard them,.... I forgot all about Metallica after that, ha! Then I will say also Motorhead and Mercyful Fate. And I can't forget Alice Cooper. My mother had the "Killer" album on vinyl and I would listen to that and get freaked out when "Dead Babies" came on. But hell I was only 7 at the time I think, ahaha...

6.- What can you say about this song "Lycanthropy"?
- Lycanthropy is a mental illness in which someone believes they can change into a wolf, to the point where their behavior is the same way. So in this song, I wanted to write about such a person. I know it's a bit cliche maybe to write about this subject, but I don't care. The rhythm and melody remind me of when I was younger and I would sneak out of my house and run through a forest at two in the morning blitzed. Ahaha, the good ole' days. But as I started writing I got the idea to write about maybe someone who has this mental illness. So on the back of the Relentless t-shirts that I had made last year, I had the chorus line printed saying: "Should have known not to walk alone at night, when I'm waltzing underneath the pale moonlight, refracted light, eyes drink the sky, black magic might, you're time to die". It's not my most popular song that I have, but it's my personal favorite.

7.- Could you describe in 5 words the sound of Relentless?
- Sure... crazy, cyclone-like, rabid, lucid, and RELENTLESS, ha...

8.- When you play the guitar, what do you feel?
- Really good question,... I don't think I have ever been asked that. But I'll do my best. I feel like I am with an old friend that knows everything about me. And we've just drank a couple liter's of Vodka, and it's okay to say and do whatever, because there are no secrets between us. If I want to sit and watch the tide ebb and flow I can, if I want to set everything on fire, jump off a building and take the stars down with me, I can... And they won't think anything of it. I mean this in a figurative sense of course ahaha,... It's hard to really explain, but it's kind of like that.

9.- Do you play some Live shows in Poland or the States?
- Not currently. I'm still learning Polish and getting used to living here. I've only been here for about four months. But I imagine by the end of this year you will see Relentless out on the stage again here in Poland. Relentless was playing out live a lot last year, mainly around Baltimore and Philadelphia. Then the line up that I had bailed out and decided to concentrate on the album. For those whose got to see the shows, I am sure they had as great of a time as I did. There was this one show in Baltimore where the band brought a keg of beer into the club as a promotion for t-shirt sales that we had,.... I don't think I have ever been so blitzed before a show in my life. I was walking in a zig-zag pattern to the stage, ahaha. But hey, we played better when we had a few.

10.- Chris Poland or Marty Friedman?
- Marty who? You mean that guy who plays in Japanese Pop bands now, ahaha... CHRIS POLAND ALL THE WAY!!! Megadeth was fucking AWESOME with Gar and Chris. They got really lame with the later line-ups. But I liked So Far So Good So What a lot. And I have to say I like some of the tracks off of their later stuff. The new album has got some good stuff as well. The new guitarist is a bit too mechanical sounding for my taste though. But nothing compares to the first three albums.

11.- Relentless is a Great band! Do you have some offer deals with some Label?
- Thanks man. Not really I don't think many people know about Relentless to tell you the truth. Not yet anyway,... I've got offers from various metal and punk distros to press vinyl, etc., but as far as labels like Metal Blade, or Century Media, no. And who cares, I think those labels put out shit bands anyway nowadays. Maybe I'll find a cool label who's ACTUALLY independent and puts out bad ass music. It would be nice to get more capital to make even better records. But it's fun putting out your own music and learning how to do everything that is involved in the production. It's a lot easier now in this day and age.

12.- How is the process or composition?
- Process? To make an album? It's a pain in the ass, ahaha... But if you love what you are doing and you believe in it, then you don't feel a thing. This demo has taken forever and a day to make. But as I get closer to the finish line, it's that much better of a feeling of accomplishment.

13.- How can we stay underground with fashions which kill genres like Thrash Metal, Death Metal and Black Metal?
- I don't think anything can be kept underground. Because nothing in life stays the same. It happens with all music and it will happen to metal again eventually. There's a huge amount of people out there making metal music. It's cool that there's a new interest in this music. But at the same time, when you have too many bands out there doing the same thing, it becomes stale and tastless. I can't make up my mind if I liked it better when I was the only one wlaking around grocery stores with bullet belts and Mercyful Fate t-shirts, or if it's better now since there are more shows and more fans. My advice, don't worry about what other people do. Do your own thing and when the popularity dies off again, so what? The true metal manics will be headbanging until they die. Besides, we all know who the fakes are and who are the real deal.

- Wow, this is going to be a difficult choice, but here we go (in no particular order):

Oh, and take over the world Relentless style. 2010 is going to be a REALLY good year for Relentless I can tell. I can't wait to play out in Poland and the rest of Europe.

Today i have this interview with Necrogoat from the diabolic and obscure Grave Desecrator!!!

1.- Firstable for those unfamiliar with the band, please give us a history on the formation of Grave Desecrator.
-GD has become an infamous Black/Death Metal gang since 98, when me , Necrogoat as guitarist, and former vocalist F.Mordor joined forces. A few time later, Butcherazor was summoned to play the bass. Many problems during the early days till the time we decided to record our debut demo “Demo 01” in 2001 with a studio drummer. This demo got a good reputation worldwide and got the attention of Ketzer rec. from Germany to release in 2003 our 7ep “Cult of Warfare and Darkness”, including Adrameleck on drums, and in 2008 “Sign of Doom” debut cd, with me passing to bass lines, Butcherazor to guitar and voices - as we fired F.Mordor due his idiotic attitudes - and Black Sin and Damnation like a second guitarist. It has just a few weeks since Adrameleck stopped to play with us and then we called Angeldust (former The Endoparasites and Diabolic Force) to play the drums.

2.- With more of 10 years into the Underground, for you what is the best thing that Grave Desecrator gives to you like a band?
-We think to grant the scene with some good alternative to senseless Metal of these days is worthy. We’re proud to have the chance to show our music and ideology worldwide, it’s a good experience, as well as to make it the best way we can do. Also, the free beers, the travels and some hard sex…

3.- Since your first demo in 2001, do you note some differences (musically speaking) with your last work "Sign of Doom"?
-Absolutely. We’re not too much interested in our demo tape. That was another epoch and we didn’t have the best ideas. We learnt with our mistakes. We play what we really like nowadays. The pure, raw but well played Black/Death Metal with the old feeling on it. Take a listen to our demo and compare to our 7ep and debut cd. You’ll feel the evident difference.

4.- For your EP "Cultof Warfare and Darkness" you work with Ketzer Records, how was the contact with this guys?
-I used to have a tape label with a friend, namely Swords and Leather. We spread around 1000 copies of the demo worldwide. The guy from Ketzer rec., among others, showed some interest on us. But Ketzer rec. sold more than 150 copies of our demo in few time. The label offered a good deal and then we decided to release a 7ep firstly.

5.- How was the recording process for "Sign of Doom", and with who worked in this album?
-We didn’t have a very good budget, but we’re worried to the quality of our stuffs. We recorded it in a very good studio in Rio (HR Studios), where we mixed all the shit as well. The mastering was made by the well known Andy Classen in Germany. I think everything could be better, but the final result was really impressive in relation to our expenses.

6.- You have a great style guys! Who are your main influences to create music?
-Musically talking, only old fucking great acts like Slayer, Iron, Sarcofago, Necrovore, Autopsy, VON, Blasphemy, Vulcano, Sepultura, Dorsal Atlântica , Necronomicon, old Mayhem, Motorhead, old hardcore, old punk, rock n roll etc,etc…We live in a dense atmosphere of a dirty, violent and decadent city. We face the indecency, impure and filth human face as well as the lies of all religiousness. Everything of it reflex in our way of being and live, consequently in our music.

7.- Talking about Satanism... is a really important part of Grave Desecrator?
-Yes, it is! But we deal with Satanism in a personal way, and it’s not really interesting to define Satanism here, as its mysterious matters aren’t to be comprehended by silly human minds. Humans are just to create and destroy. Mundane life and individualism are quite interesting for us, but we don’t consider the figure of Satan, or the Horned One related exclusively to such human mediocrity. We’re much more anti-religious than Satanists since we don’t practice any satanic ritual and just I used to have magical experiences in the past, but we don’t have any problem if one can consider GD as a Satanist band. We don’t care.

8.- Grave Desecrator try to represent something in their lyrics? And from where comes the inspiration?
-As aforementioned, our lyrics reflex a part of our views in a decadent society, devoted to bullshit and spiritual emptiness, as well as for our mundane life related to obscure feelings.

9.- What can you tell us of this song "Faces of Apocalyptic Batlle"?
-It’s a cool song with a cool lyric I guess. Savage and straight one!

10.- Talking about foreign bands, with who do you like share stage or record some split?
-We can’t choose the bands we’ll play with. We played beside some shit acts but good ones as well. For sure, we’ll never play beside a christian band. In relation to underground bands, I think we’d like to play alongside Mystifier, Nunslaughter, Blasphemy and a lot of other cool freaks.

11.- Can you define in 5 words the music of Grave Desecrator?
-Brazilian Blackest Metal Massacre forever!

12.- How is the Brazilian scene at the moment? Coul you recommend us some great bands?
-Brazil is a very large country. Let me teach a lesson of geography (hehe); we’re the world’s 5th largest country. So since the boom of Rock from the 60´s/70´s and Heavy Metal from the 80´s, Brazil has been ever a country with a good story in this genre. Bring back to nowadays, we face a great amount of bands if you’re talking about Black/Death or Extreme Metal. Like other countries we have cool and shit bands. But, personally I think there’s pollution where we can perceive much more untalented and mistaken persons trying to play the game. It results in abundant scenery but with few really interesting results. I can recommend you cool acts into Heavy/Thrash/black/Death stuff like Thy Rites, Apokalyptic Raids, Sodomizer, Vulturine, Osculum Obscenum, Dominus Praelii, Farscape, Diabolic Force, In the darkness is my Realm, Luvart, Grotesque Communion, Sovereign, Power from Hell, etc..and some old but still alive bands like Headhunter DC, Mystifier, Murder Rape.

13.- Plans for this 2010... Maybe a new album?
-We’ll try lots of things for 2010. We’re about to have 2 7ep´s released by Hell’s Headbangers (“Primordial and Repulsive” – including cover-versions of Repulsion and Mortuary Drape) and a split with Catacumba(bra) (“Tombs on Fire”) by Necromancer rec (Ger). A new cd/lp by Ketzer/Hell´s Headbangers for middle 2010 and we’ll try an Euro gig for end of this year. Let’s see.

This is the Interview with the amazing and crushing Maim!

1.- Firstable for those unfamiliar with the band, please give us a history on the formation of Maim.
- Maim was formed in the fall of 2006. Our main goal was to play some good old death metal! We drew influences from bands like Morbid Angel,Entombed,Autopsy,Dismember,Carcass and lots of bands. We recorded our first demo in december 2007 wich is also called
"From the womb to the tomb" And it was with that demo we got signed to SoulsellerRecords. The we decided we wanted to do a full length album
of the demo, so we added some tracks and recorded it once again with another sound.

2.- Why do you choose Maim for the name of the band?
- It sounds like a classic un-polished Death Metal band from the past.

3.- What inspired you to create Maim with all the Old School and True Metal sound, when most of the bands play Brutal Technical Death Metal stuff?
- It became natural for us since we were into that type of metal. We wanted the raw and ugly feeling,that it was supposed to be.
If i wanted to listen to some overproduced, hi-tech,2000 days in the studio-bullshit music i might just turn on the radio and listen to Lady Gaga or something.

4.- Before your album debut, do you recorded some rehearsal, demo or something like that?
- Like i mentioned before, the infamous demo "From the womb to the tomb" was recorded but never really was released officially, only a few people got it (on cassette). I figure its really hard to get hold on, even on the internet. The demo has that good old demo sound, so we are very proud over it. I think its a better sound on the demo than on the album,haha.

5.- At the time you are composing a new song, who is the one that bring the main idea of the song, or do you all participate on it?
- One of us usually comes up with a whole song, and then all of us participate to make it better. And then we work on the song until all of us is satisfied with it.

6.- Where does the lyric theme come from?
- Of course the theme comes from Horror and Gore movies, and old bands like Autopsy teached us the way!

7.- Hows been the relation with Soulseller Records? Tell us a bit about it.
- No comments.

8.- Talking about "From the Womb to the Tomb", how was the recording process of this Great album?
- It was a bit strange because we re-recorded the demo and added 3 songs to complete it. Scott, the other guitarist had moved to London for a year, so I (Chris) had to record all the guitars for the album. But i think it went out fine. We really worked our asses to create all the tracks on this album.

9.- Could you tell us a little bit about this song "Smouldering Ashes"?
- It´s a slow earie song that deals about a plague, that will bring mankind to it´s doom.

10.- You recorded an Autopsy cover ("Ridden with Disease"), they are one of your most important influences or what other bands?
- Of course it´s one of our main influences, and we thought why not cover one of their songs on our debut album?
It really shows how dedicated we are to this band and this kind of metal. It´s all about good music and having a good time.

11.- How is a gig of Maim? Do you remember your first gig?
- It´s gig filled with headbangable riffs and sweaty crazy kids,haha. Oh yes i did, we played Ridden with disease in a small club in Linköping and it felt
really good because the Linköping scence is all about Metal/hardcore/progressive/gothenburg sound bullshit.

12.- "Covet Death" is a new song for a new album? What plans do you have for this 2010?
- Yes it´s one of the new songs on the next album, cant say anymore for now,haha! Hopefully we are going to record the next album this year and we are really looking forward to it.

BLOOD REVOLT, featuring J Read and Vermin of AOA / REVENGE, with A.A. Nemtheanga from PRIMORDIAL handling vocal duties, will enter the studio in January to record their debut for Ireland's Invictus Productions. Expect an April / May release.

Gene Palubicki is busy laying the groundwork for the upcoming APOCALYPSE COMMAND yet to be titled full length. Assisting in the recording will be CJS and VK of DIOCLETIAN. Black / Death Metal in the vein of SARCOFAGO's "INRI" is what is to be expected.

Canada’s TYRANTS BLOOD will shortly see their second full-length album "Crushing Onward Into Oblivion" unleashed by Invictus. Numerous pressing plant issues have held the album up, which has been paid for in full for months now. Expect a musical mixture of POSSESSED, SADUS, MORBID ANGEL, DESTRUCTION and MORBID SAINT.

WITCHRIST will release their debut full-length album in early 2010 through Invictus Productions.

DIOCLETIAN are in the process of demoing material for their second full length "War Of All Against All". The band is also set to release some split EPs on various other labels. They are also planning a tour of Europe and the USA in 2010.

SANGUIS IMPEREM will record their debut, yet to be titled full length for Invictus in early / mid 2010. On the heels of the soon to be released split 12” with NOCTURNAL BLOOD, expect more brutal Death Metal militancy from this US quartet.

The official street dates for the upcoming re-issue album of Swedish Death Metallers MY OWN GRAVE have been set as 19th of January 2010 for North American territories and 27th of January 2010 for European territories.

This is the Interview with Blasphemous and Unholy Hatespawn!

Okay, here is A.O.D. Let's start a war !!!

1.- Hails dudes! Could you talk a little bit about the formation of Hatespawn?
- The main inspiration of HATESPAWN reaches until the middle of the nineties. I started collecting riffs and ideas that not compare to other bands and projects I played at this time. Some tracks were recorded by myself as demo versions and I saved all the stuff, recorded on rehearsal tapes, in a dusty box.
After the split of IMPENDING DOOM in 2003 I found a tape including two songs we wrote short before we buried the band. I recorded all instruments and asked Andy (the singer of IMPENDING DOOM) about a short studio session. We finished the entire recordings in 3 or 4 hours and it became released on a split-7", together with another project of me, SIGNUM DIABOLIS, through OBSCURE ABHORRENCE PRODUCTIONS.
Two years later, Raelin joined the band and we started rehearsals to record a demo tape. It worked very good and in september we recorded "Ascent From The Kingdom Below". This sessions became released in a limited edition of 100 tapes only. We started working on new tracks after the recordings, but Raelin is involved in other projects since more than one year and after the split-7" with DEAD CONGREGATION in 2008 HATESPAWN laid on ice.
In december 2009 HATESPAWN decided to continue as a two peace and Raelin left the band. In spring / summer 2010, A. Deathmonger and me will return to the studio to record new tracks and we are thinking about a LP release.

2.- At this moment you are a two piece band, for you this is the best way in the creative aspect?
- At the time there is no other solution, cause you can't find a good drummer out there who feel the same spirit as we...

3.- "Ascent from the Kingdom below" is a real masterpiece of Death Metal, how much time did you took have ready the songs and recording?
- The first rehearsal we made was in february 2007, the recordings were made in september same year!!!
As I told, I had tons of riffs and ideas, collected since the middle of the nineties and it worked fast to work out the final tracks.

4.- You recorded a Acheron (Legends) cover, they are one of your most important influences or who are?
- We have a lot of influences, but ACHERON is of course one of our absolutely faves!

5.- In the lyrics what is your main influence?
- Occultism, hate, blood, fire, death...

6.- In 2008 you make a split with Dead Congregation, how was the contact to do this split?
- Raelin was responsible for the contact to the guys. I really like that split-7" !!!

7.- Can you say about this song "...Of Unspeakable Cults...(Invocations from the Wasteland of Misanthropic Bloodshed)"?
- In my opinion, this song captures all the ingrediences of the typical HATESPAWN sound. If you like that tune, you will also like our other songs !!!

8.- For you what is the meaning of Hatespawn as a band?
- HATESPAWN started as a project...and will ever be one. Maybe we will find a drummer sometimes, otherwise we will continue our path as a two piece with studio recordings only.

9.- Why Raelin left the band?
- Personal reasons, but he will ever be a good comrade for us. HAIL TO YOU !!!

10.- How was the contact for work with Fog Of The Apocalypse Records?
- The owner is a good friend of A. Deathmonger and me and he was interested to give us a contract, so we signed !!!

11.- Now are you working in new stuff? Maybe a Full Lenght album?
- We will see, what happens. First we have to work out the riffs and new songs and then we will record new material.

12.- How can we stay underground with fashions which kill genres like Thrash Metal, Death Metal and Black Metal?
- No trend or stupid kind of scene or music can't kill the real underground spirit! Never!!!

13.- Besides music, what jobs or activities do you have?
- I work as a sound engineer in a well-known studio in Thuringia.

The Seedbed Of Evil: Nadimac (Serbia)

Fast, Corrosive, Aggressive... Nadimac is a kick ass Crossover/Thrash Metal band from Serbia, they remind me the old glory days of Tankard, D.R.I., Cryptic Slaughter, Suicidal Tendencies or Excel. Their album "Drzavni Neprijatelj Broj Kec" with Area Death Productions it´s a good piece of xtreem music, they talk about Sects, Corporations, Political Incorrectness. In question of composition is really good, the songs structures sometimes are like a tornado, they play fast but suddenly goes faster! Riffs are good, with a great sense and secuence between riff and riff;the solos are good maybe a little short... but still good!! And the bass is amazing, not only for the rithym base, the bass support the guitar playing the same riffs in an excellent way!
Drums are played in the classic way of Crossover/Thrash Metal fast, loud, hard and of course a really good technique to mix all of this capacities to create a good drum tracks. The voice for me is a really strong part of the band, i like this type of voice, without try to sing guttural or really harsh, Danilo makes a strong and furious voice in allt he songs, i like the espontaneous final screams in some parts of the songs, that is the key to bring some peaced part to a violent and aggressive part!!
The best songs of the album for me are "Bog Cuva Bekriju", this song is like a hymn to mayhem, fuckin chaotic you just wanna break your neck with the headbanging!
Of course "Metal Je Rat", the intro is kind of the outro of Metallica´s "Metal Militia" some boots walking overthere, the first double bass part with the riff are great is just the beggining of the massacre!
"Usro Si Motku" this is my favorite, the first riff is Killer... Pure Thrash Metal! This song have a lot changes of rithym, really great song!
"Zmajeva Jajca" hellyeah the begginign of this song reminds me some Tankard stuff and the legendary "Open All Night" VHS... Fuck!!! The first riff is insane!! Fast and technique style! (Horns Up to Stefan) This is maybe the most violent song of the album, i love the vocal work in this song.. fast as hell!! And this song have a middle part just to take a chill for later Keep It Up with the Insane!!
The production is good, maybe the drums could be better, more powerfull!!!

Interview with this crazy, blasting Thrashers from Serbia... Nadimac!!!

1.- How are you? First of all, tell us yiur names and possitions and how do you formed the band?
- NadimaC was founded back in 2003, two hairy metalheads dragan and zec wanted to play fast music , like german speed/thrash metal bands did. Few months later they found vocal and guitar player and first line up was complete. Band played on a lot of metal gigs,fests,and drunken metal nights,always playing as energic as they could and always hanging after gig with thrashers crew.By now NadimaC is known in region as pretty original and in a way unique band wich tryes to play thrash metal ,but combines metal influences and also gives its own mark.Lyricks were always special part of bands music,sarcastic,funny,weird and everything but ordinary. Band made lot of fast oldschool songs and recorded "vukodlak metal" demo in 2007. In early 2008 band got new line up. In that line up have played couple of good shows and recorded promo album called "Metal is war"-"metal je rat". Same (curent)recorded album for aread death productions (China) and it is out worldvide. 4.- How is the Metal scene in Serbia?
- State of our scene today is not strange or weird to me, I'm 24 years old but have seen or participated on many concerts, fanzines, bands, and stuff like that, I'm not expirienced as some of my older friends from scene, but I know what I know. All I can say about our scene is that it is a standard model for a „after cold war“ and „post war“ scene, meaning that in 90`s you were lucky to see any band, and at the begining of 2000`s situation got better, domestic bands festival in Dom omladine, Motorhead and Paul Di Anno had almost sold out concerts, Metallica was success too etc.But in one point in last few years we found ourselves in between a couple of expensive concerts in couple of days, and you have money or entysiasm to go only on one concert, meaning that we have today couple concert organizations that organize concerts, but the relationship between them is neither healthy nor profesional.Also there is a lot of concerts booked and cancelled briefly after, people buy expensive tickets only to be later dissapointed by cancellations. Even underground and domestic gigs have some weird logic, some domestic bands with potencial have much less crowd than shitty tribute bands, much much less. Which is crap, when you combine all problems with concerts, and add to that Internet/download/mp3 listening culture you have a problem, beacuse people will download some live dvd of band they „love“ and not go to the concert of the same band in their own town! What's up with that!? Get a life! Get a real metal/music experience, be part of the scene or fuck off! You can`t compare 20000000 mp3 albums at home with one LIVE show experience, one beer in your neighbourhood with your friends, or one mosh pit! That's the point of scene and of music we all like. Thrash on rise..yeah it is, that's just one of indicators how people are fed up with system and life in our country and in the world. Thrash is by ideology more protest than just music and it's about denying authority, creating social messages, sharing UG spirit of friendship, hanging out and stuff so its cool. I'm glad to see we have couple of cool young bands, and we also have some fantastic older bands.Yeah thrash is on the rise. About Bosko`s death... sad, sad day for us all, for many people personally and for the whole scene, which he was BIG part of, and the scene was part of him so I dare say that part of scene died with him. He always had real underground spirit that I always shared and appreciate. He was friend, he was one of us...111
Hmmm... fans, very energic and agressive therefore..very good metal fans.
But our scene has at the moment something i would call „Post cold war, post war syndrom“. That meens that in the 90` during the wars we didnt had a lot of shows in Serbia and every band that came (napalm death, propain, and later UK Subs,Paul di anno, Motorhead) had big crowds and on concerts vent metal, hc, rock, punk people together. Now There is a lot of big concerts and they are expensive for most of fans :P Plus fans are now devided, not just on punks, hc punks, anarcho, metal heads etc, in metal subculture we are devided on black metalheads, thrashers, dm heads etc...that sucks ! :P

5.- At the time you are composing a new song, who is the one that bring the main idea of the song, or do you all participate on it?
- Hmm we all participate in making of songs, it’s cool thing because we start to play some tunes and rhythms on rehearsal and somebody says “hey put this part here or there” or “you can try and play this like that” so the final song is product of our united ideas. It was like that before I came to band so the author of the songs is NadimaC

6.- What is your main inspiration to write the lyrics songs (your songs are in Serbian), could you explain a little bit more about this?

Lyrics were always important for NadimaC, I try to combine sarcastic/dark humour approach, and what's more important - every song has two messages, one obvious and other hidden, interesting thing is how people understand our song lyrics very differently. I like to combine social themes, alternative religion concepts, corporations,war invades/invalides of war, secret societies, indoctrination, and off course I always try not to be politically correct. I'm not using other bands' song lyrics as inspiration, I find inspiration without thinking about it, just looking around and singing about what I see.

7.- How was the contact for work with Crucifier, Besthoven, Benefactor Disease and Pervertum Obscurum? You worked a lot this year!
- HEheh its harded to find label to release splits than bands. We wanted to release split with Greek bands because Serbs and Greeks are two brother nations.
Beshtoven is great crust band and we were honered to do a plsit with that and we was introducet for that split by Suffering jesus productions.
We like to support other bands by releasing splits with tham, and we think its tr00 underground way…

8.- How can we stay underground with fashions which kill genres like Thrash Metal, Death Metal and Black Metal?
- Although we like the metal music from the 80’s we are not one of these bands who is obssessed by 80’s life style and looks, the biggest influences on Nadimac are bands like German thrash metal school and old school crossover/hc punk bands. The main influence on our style has to be the life and the life experiences we share. Sure, we love all these old metal bands but we also love some of new wave of thrash / crossover metal, and we try not to follow any rules or boundaries in our music. NadimaC triies to be one of New Wave thrash forces in region,
Hmm ..we are totaly Uncool band.
We dont try to have same sound as Sodom, or Sadus 20 years ago, but we try to combine that tradition with some other styles or iideas.
But we wont ever play some comercial crap, or folow the flow.

9.- What can we expect from your debut Album "DRZAVNI NEPRIJATELJ BROJ KEC", you worked with some label or independent?
- The band is generally satisfied with the album sound in general, as far as sound quality goes we are pretty happy with the work the producer done. There is one saying in Serbia “as much money, as much music”, which means that we did great job having in mind how much money we had. The recordings and production was done by Archsound productions, and it was recorded in studio MIIR.
Album is fast, sarcastic, politicly incorect, and diferent.
For fans of ultra agresive, and fast thrash with exotic vocals and song structures... try it! 111

10.- Besides music, what jobs or activities do you have?
- Hmm,,..i (Danilo) have finished university and now im on master studies .. I do metal art… and stuff like that, I cant get a job and I mostly do nothing ..
Bass player(Zec) Is on final year on some computer university… Dragan (Drummer) also draws and he have some job …Stefan(Guitar) started on Soud and video injenering university…he doesent do anything elce haha.

11.- Could you define in 5 words the music of Nadimac?
- Agression, Energy, Attitude, Sarcasm, Desaster.

12.- How is a clasic gig of Nadimac?
- Hmm a loto of beer in us and on crowd, crazy fans(really crazy moshpits) constant screaming jumping, fast beats, moshpits, crowd riding etc.. we are underground band so when we come in some other country or city its cool to see people we don’t know jumping or singing our songs…

13.- What can you say about this song "SAD SI SAM"?
- Its song about thoughts of war invalide, its song of his anger and hate…that is his messadge to country...
Since we were born our country was in wars with more that 17 countries theres a lot inspiration here...

14.- Plans for the next year, touring, splits...
- We already played with municipal waste, i think it would be cool to tour with Tankard, Violator, Fastkill, Sodom, kreator or Sabbat(Eng).
We will recorde new EP next yrar, and release more splits, play more gigs and try to make diference..

Swedish oldschool Death Metallers FATALIST have begun filming a video for the track 'Frozen Epitaph'. Frontman Neil Burkdoll issued the following statement about the video shoot: "We filmed about 4 hours of footage for our 'Frozen Epitaph' video this past weekend. We have a lot of editing to do and maybe a few more things to film, but overall it's coming along nicely. After some time, we comeback with a killer Interview with Andre Luiz (Vocals) and Tersis (Guitar), this guys are the incarnation of the best Gore Pervertions... Offal!

1.- How are you? First of all, tell us your names and possitions and how do you formed the band?
- André: Ohhh what's up? It's okay here, we're fine, thankxxx! Offal today is: André Luiz – Vocals, Eduardo Tobe – Drums, João Carlos Ongaro – Bass and Tersis Zonato – Guitars and vocals. Well, we started our activities late 2003 as a trio just playing some Autopsy's covers and the band originally called Orgy in Excrements (Autopsy's Acts of the Unspeakable song). Some time later we started to compose our own songs and when we got some good ones we decided to record that stuff! So, we did and I sent it just to some local friends, we really didn't have any plans to put that stuff as an official release or something else! Some months later my friend Renzo of the band I Shit on Your Face started a label (The Hole Productions) and I sent the whole stuff for him, so he said that would like to put it out as his number one release! It was really awesome, so we started to produce the whole cover / layout and some months later our first full-length was finally out: Offal – S/t full-length CD – The Hole Productions 2006. Fortunately we've got several good responses about the CD and nowadays it's totally sold-out! Later we had a few line-up changes and recently we have released our latest stuff, a split MCD with the Aussie freaks of Bowel Fetus also via The Hole Productions, check it out!

2.- With 7 years into the Underground, for you what is the best thing, that Offal gives to you like a band?
- André: Ohhh all these years where very special for us! We got the chance to record and release some cool stuff, we met several people, we've played with some great bands and we especially did several friendships worldwide!

3.- What bands inspired you to create Offal with this Metal style?
- André: We got several influences to create Offal, most names of the late 80's and early 90's Death Metal cult bands but absolutely the greatest name was for sure and will always be AUTOPSY! ALL HAIL MASTERS!
- Tersis: I think I'm more into traditional old-school Death Metal with some classic and also some underground bands. I like North American and Swedish metal scene from the old days: they we're great and are the pillars to what Death Metal is known today. I also have some other extreme metal influences that can be recognized sometimes in our song structures.

4.- At the time you are composing a new song, who is the one that bring the main idea of the song, or do you all participate on it?
- Tersis: Usually, each member creates a rough song or record some riffs and ideas. So we put it together on rehearsals. André fill it with vocals and we start to refine the song, rearranging the structure and finding out the best feeling, also thinking about the message we want to spread.

5.- How was the contact to participate int he compilations "100 Ways Splatter Fetish" and "In Gore We Grind Volume III"?
- André: We weren't in touch with the labels when they asked for a track to enclose on the compilations! They just got in touch with us and asked for it, so… Honestly, I'm not totally into compilation stuff, especially when it features different genres and bands! But on these cases, both are great compilations and both feats tons of sick bands, was great to appear on these ones! We didn't get any copy of the "In Gore We Grind Volume III" compilation, I got in touch with the label's guys asking for our copies but we didn't received yet.

6.- Where does the lyric theme came from? Why having this topics in lyrics?
- André: Well, the lyrics are totally into that disgusting, twisted and vile blood-splattering Old-skull Death Metal addicted to the splatter platters of the 70's, 80's and 90's B-cinema following all that cult late 80's / early 90's Death Metal founders! There are lots of bands doing it nowadays and others that already did it but we're always trying to do something different with our own characteristics and this whole old-school universe has all that we need to do something really great!

7.- How much time did you took to have ready the first Offal album songs and recording?
- André: Ohhh sorry, I can't precise! As I said before we started the activities just playing some cover songs and only some time later we started to do some compositions! We also re-compose some early songs from the Orgy In Excrements era... I can't precise, but one or two years, I think!

8.- Do you choose to work with Bowel Fetus in the split, how was possible this split?
- André: The whole contact for this split was made by Renzo of The Hole Productions! We just start to keep in touch with Glen of Bowel Fetus lately!

9.- Besides music, what jobs or activities do you have?
- André: Well, I'm currently running to finish the university of Zootechny, I pretend to work with full animal production. Tersis Zonato and João Ongaro are graphic designers and are currently working with graphic and web design. Eduardo Tobe works with photography and cinegraphy for a worldwide skateboard magazine.

10.- What can you say about this song "Cadaver Breath"?
- Tersis: I like this song. It starts with mid-tempo drumming beats and a great riff. After that, it changes to a zombie-like slow creepy passage. I can say that the ending is very cool, when the same riff goes slowly, the intense screaming and the blood spilling out of the speakers.

11.- Talking about Brazilian scene, how is in this days? The Metalheads still being a crazy supportive motherfuckers?
- Tersis: I can surely say that there are some bands here. We also had the opportunity to play with many great bands and met a lot of people. Unfortunately, there's A LOT of losers playing white metal and these kind of shit, but they always hide their ideals, because that way they think they will "fit" on the scene... only after some time, you discover what they talk about in their music. So, there's a huge problem with gig producers here. Not so long ago, I went to a gig with some Death and Thrash Metal bands. Later, I discovered that there's was two white metal bands playing. It is so fucking contraditory... How can a white metal band play with other bands that has the opposite ideology? I DON'T SUPPORT all of these white metal shit, and also, I DON'T SUPPORT these kind of gigs. Death metal is not allowed to speak about these religious shit. Death metal is hate and sickness! All hail old-school gore lyrics!

12.- How is gig of Offal?
- Tersis: People always support us on our live sets, and that's GREAT! The mosh-pit circle is always intense... some freaks are always following us, travelling together, pounding and banging all over the place!

13.- Plans for the near future?
- Tersis: We're currently recording our new full-length CD/LP on AvantGarde Studio (Curitiba/PR - Brazil). We're also planning a split 7" EP. It has been really great to have some old songs that use to be on our live setlist, finally recorded. I can't wait to see things done.

One of Sweden’s newest, scruffiest and back-to-the-roots Punk bands IRON LAMB, consisting of some of extreme Metal’s most prominent figures in the scene, is now officially a part of the Pulverised Records family. Fronted by ex-Repugnant singer Graga Lindström, this all-star line-up also consists of Johan Wallin of General Surgery on guitars, Thomas Daun of Dismember on drums and “Swedish Death Metal Book” author Daniel Ekeroth, also of Tyrant and ex-Insision fame on bass. IRON LAMB is slated to record their debut untitled full-length and should see the light of day in the first quarter of 2010. Greek's VARATHRON is finally back with a new album "Stygian Forces Of Scorn" via Death To Mankind Records. After five years of silence, Poland's WITCHMASTER is back with a new studio album entitled "Trücizna" (Polish for “poison”). MORTIIS recently completed work on 2 new videos to coincide with the release of the forthcoming album (working title "The Great Deceiver"). Today i have for you this amazing Death Metal band from Netherlands. Furious, raw, crushing, fast and violent Death Metal! Fucking riff massacre, a lot of killer riffs in the 3 albums, the drums work is just perfect, precision and rawness of this guy, great bass lines just perfect, in the vocal theme they have great vokills, in the beggining was Rachel Heyzer, later Aad Kloosterwaard anyway both of them are great!
They played pure Death Metal in the vein of old Sinister, Monastery (Hol), some elements of the Dutch Gods Pestilence (mainly in the riffs), just listen this guys and make your opinions. By the way they change their name to Weapons To Hunt.

STENCH OF DECAY's "Where Death And Decay Reign" demo, that got released on tape by Detest Records and that now is sold out will be available again on 12" in September through Detest Records. Detest Records will release the band's first 7" EP in April - June 2010 as well.

A limited tape version of ASCENDED's new "Temple Of Dark Offerings" EP will be released by Detest Records in September. CD and 12" versions shall be available from Enucleation Records.

ABHORROT and PUTRID second demos will both be released on tapes by Detest Records, respectively in October and December.

MIASMAL's first 7" EP will be released by Detest Records in early 2010. At this occasion, a limited re-release of the band's first demo on tape shall be available, the first tape issue and the 12" reissue being both sold out.

The following sad news was just posted by Blabbermouth.net: Ian Jones, original guitarist for New Wave Of British Heavy Metal (NWOBHM) legends BLITZKRIEG, passed away on August 10 after a long illness.
Jones was in BLITZKRIEG in 1980-1981 and played rhythm guitar on BLITZKRIEG's 1981 7" EP "Buried Alive", which was released by Neat Records. He also co-wrote the classic track 'Blitzkrieg' (made famous by METALLICA on their "Creeping Death" EP), which was on the B-side. Ian's funeral will be held in Leicester, England on August 19. MASTER have announced their upcoming tenth full-length album as “The Human Machine”. The band has also tapped in Israeli artist Eliran Kantor to work on the visual aspects of “The Human Machine”, whom was also recently responsible for TESTAMENT’s “Formation Of Damnation” album cover. MASTER are scheduled to start working on the new album after completing a series of upcoming Mexican and South American tours and the band will be expected to enter the studio in December 2009.

Due to the complex production of "Privilegivm", the new SECRETS OF THE MOON album release needs to be postponed for one week. "Privilegivm" will be released in Germany and Austria on September 18, in other European countries in w/c September 21. A release date for North America will be announced soon. Mexico's INFERNAL CONJURATION has recorded a 7"EP for Blood Harvest entitled "Avto De Fe". No release date has been confirmed yet.

BASTARD PRIEST are currently mixing the upcoming album which will be released on CD and vinyl, later this year, on Blood Harvest.

Robert of COFFIN TEXTS confirmed that the re-recording of the upcoming album, "Tomb Of Infinite Ritual", will be completed soon. Just some vocal tracks that need to be done and then mixing. Hopefully this long awaited sophomore album will be out by the end of the year.

Blood Harvest will also bring you some new morbid and putrid tunes from Greek Death act, NECROVOROUS. First out is the 7"EP, "Crypt Of Unembalmed Cadavers", before the band enters the studio to record their debute full length.

The vinyl edition of the debut full length, titled "Kratos", by Brazilian Black / Death mongers, CATACUMBA, will be released under the banner of Blood Harvest. Be sure to check out their upcoming split EP with GRAVE DESECRATOR as well.

Blood Harvest will also be releasing the vinyl edition of KRATHERION's"Necrouroboros XXXIII" album. Primitive and raw Death / Black from this Chilean horde, incuding members from AMMIT and SENDEROS DEL MAL.

VASAELETH are finalizing the layout for the "Demo MMIX" 7" EP. The EP will go under the title "Adorned & Iridescent". Besides the two songs from the demo, the EP will include an additional track, 'Unmanifest'. Work has already begun for the upcoming album, to be released on Blood Harvest later on.

Wilmington's warriors of death, UNHOLY LUST, have finished recording and are now mixing the material for their upcoming full-length debut "Taste The Sin, Through The Fire". CD and vinyl to be released on Blood Harvest later this year.

"Sub Atris Caelis", the new album by INFINITUM OBSCURE has been recorded and is being mixed right now by none other than veteran producer/engineer Bill Metoyer. Mastering will be done in Sweden with Tore Stjerna at the infamous Necromorbus Studios. The release is scheduled for October.

Blood Harvest we will be releasing BLOODY SIGN's third full-length album, "Chaos Echoes". The CD edition is planned for mid-September, in time for their Euro-tour with Peruvian maniacs, ANAL VOMIT. The vinyl will be released as soon as possible after that.

Next off to the Blood Harvest pressing plant will be the DENIAL "Catacombs Of The Grotesque" LP and GODDEFIED "Remnants Of The Art" EP.

Cyclone Empire have signed Swedish DEMIURG. The band consista of PAGANIZER-mainman Rogga Johansson (vocals and guitars), Dan Swanö (lead-guitars, keyboards, vocals), Johan Berglund (bass), Pär Johansson (clean vocals) and Ed Warby (drums). The band already made themselves a really good name in the scene with their two already released albums “Breath Of The Demiurg” (2007) and “The Hate Chamber” (2008), both on Mascot Records. The band is currently working on the material for their third, yet untitled album, scheduled to be released in early 2010. INCANTATION is preparing for a series of upcoming dates in the fall of 2009 and the spring 2010, which will include longtime drummer Kyle Severn (from such records as "Diabolical Conquest", "Blasphemy", "Decimate Christendom" and "Primordial Domination"). The initial dates will take place over Labor Day weekend in the Midwest and then see the band traveling to Central America in late October / early November 2009. O´right dudes, today we have this Italian band called "Grimness", they play a really good Black Metal, this guy Valerio have a great vocal style, violent, raw with a epic touch. Talking about the music i think they play a classic Black Metal style, with some elements of Thrash Metal, and some blastbeats (for me that is the best way), the drums are insane (no technical shit), chaotic!!! I realy like that sound in a record, because you can feel the essence of the band i think... No painted faces, i like that attitude, just get your instrument and play!! So, if you like bands like Tsjuder or the legendary Mortuary Drape, this guys are a good option for you, go listen this guys and cut some heads!!

Great 4 piece Death Metal band, this guys have the European Style, great riffs work, the bass lines are perfect, and the drummer have an excellent precision!
The voice is really cool, angry, corrosive and strong, i already hear the three songs of their Myspace profile and i have to say they surprise me with this song "Worlderness", the begin sounds like Carcass in the "Heartwork" era, and the solo are amazing excellent technique, they have some melodic elements in some parts of their songs, i think they are one of the best bands from Mexico. If you like Carcass in the Heartwork era, this is perfect for you!!

Pestilence Denied Entry Into The United States

Pestilence will not headline today, May 24th, at the Maryland DeathFest due to their detainment at the US border. Band leader Patrick Mameli and guitarist Patrick Uterwyck were kept in custody for several hours and sent back to the Netherlands late yesterday.

Upon entering the US and stopping at customs they discovered their paper work, which was sent to them, for their travels was not properly completed for the required working visas. Originally they were told all was in order and to proceed on the trip to the US. They spent a total of 44 hours in flights and detainment.

“We are extremely sad and disappointed not being able to perform on the MDF. Not having received the proper information on our visa application, we were under the impression that what we received from the securing visas and working permits office was the actual working permits,” explains band leader Patrick Mameli. “We were kept under custody by the border security police for 4 hours trying to do everything in our power to let us pass, but all our efforts failed. They sent us home on the next plane. Hopefully we will be given another chance to perform for you, our fans!”

Konqueror Records has signed Italy's old school Death Metallers ERODED. The band is said to be inspired by NIHILIST, AUTOPSY, CARNAGE and the DEMIGOD debut full length. After the stunning success of their reunion shows in 2007 and a quickly sold-out 7” EP release in 2008, premier Dutch Death Metal act ASPHYX renewed its partnership with its long-time label Century Media Records and on June 22, 2009 the highly anticipated new studio album “Death…The Brutal Way” will be released in Europe. In the line-up consisting of Martin van Drunen (vocals), Wannes Gubbels (bass / vocals), Paul Baayens (guitar) and Bob Bagchus (drums), these oldschool Metal icons recorded “Death…The Brutal Way” at Sonic Assault Studio with Frank Klein Douwel. Afterwards, the album was mixed and mastered by the none less legendary Dan Swanö (BLOODBATH, EDGE OF SANITY etc.), who previously successfully worked on mixing the debut album by HAIL OF BULLETS, the band featuring ASPHYX vocalist Martin van Drunen and guitarist Paul. Transferring the band’s classic trademarks of doomy, macabre Death Metal into the year 2009, “Death…The Brutal Way” is easily the heaviest ASPHYX album to date and the first to feature the titanic roar of Martin van Drunen since 1992’s classic “The Last One On Earth”. Interview: Anal Vomit (Peru)

This is the Interview with Noizer Guitarrist of the Blasphemous Horde Anal Vomit.

1.- Why do you choose Anal Vomit like name of the band?
- Greetings from Lima, Peru; Hell Terror and Chaos, the name was created by an ex – guitarist of the first line – up of the band. Influenced in some song of “Hate” album from Sarcofago and Carcass “Reek of Putrefaction”, because this sounds dirty and morbid.

2.- With 19 years into the Underground, for you what is the best thing, that Anal Vomit gives to you like a band?
- Our records, the trips, visit a lot of cities, meet a lot of crazy people, have a good times, new experiences for our lifes, to know the Metal is infected in everywhere.

3.- Your first demo “Pregnancy Rotten Masturbator” recorded in 1993, do you remember how was the situation in the Peruvian scene, do you think in this times the scene is better or worst?
- I joined in 1997 recording the demo “Into the Eternal Agony”, the Peruvian escene is more bigger, with more events, came more important bands doing this works better, the underground is a double edge weapon, but I think now is better than the 90´s.

4.- Anal Vomit have the style of the old latinamerican bands, is raw, aggressive, corrosive, crushing ¿what bands are your main influence?
- Morbid Angel, Sarcofago, Sepultura, Carcass, Napalm Death, Sacrifice, Agathocles, Slayer, etc etc.

5.- In some years you record 4 demos before the split “Sudamerica Brutal”, During this time of the demos, any label try to contact you for record a album?
- No, in that time was very hard, we don´t have the virtual promotion or better media to do a deal, now the internet answered all that problems, a lot of “True Metalheads” disagree with this, but in some important things this have adventages. Our demos are gonna be Re – edited in Cd, I hope all can be produced on Cd.

6.- In 2002 you recorded “From Peruvian Hell”, with who worked for this EP?
- We recorded this EP in the “Session” studio of John Aggressor (guitarist of Hadez), and was recorded only form a Vynil format for Legion of Death Records from France. The contact with them was via Hugues “Karnage” Vallot from “Eternal Fire Zine”, he visit Peru in that time and he like our music.

7.- How was the contact with Displeased Records for record your debut album “Demonic Flagellations”
- “Peruvian Hell” EP open the gates of hell to us, and Displeased was interested in record our debut album, having a great response form the Headbangers in all the putrid world, still now is rated very good.

8.- Why do you decided includes a couple of covers of Mortuorio and Sepultura in this album?
- Because personally I am fan of this bands and they are part of mi influence into the Black Metal.

9.- Anal Vomit try to represent something in their lyrics? And from where comes the inspiration?
- We don´t try to represent something, our lyrics are from the streets and very direct, we don´t have a message for the fans.

10.- Why sing in Spanish and English?
- Is something natural, comes with the composition, we don´t need force anything and this is good.

11.- Could you talk a little bit about this song “Ghedeom”?
- I create the music, and the lyrics was created by Destructor (Drums), talks about some killer that cut heads, and he reborn to continue the posers massacre.

12.- For you how was played with a band like Desaster?
- That was great, they are amazing persons, we drink some beers… and the show was Brutal and Underground for all the Metalheads arghhhh!!!

13.- Talking about foreign bands, with who do you like share stage or record some split?
- We don´t have some band in mind, but personally I like Krisiun because they are direct and brutal.

14.- Who is Anal Vomit in this moment?
- Basically the three bastards of the records:
Noizer – Guitar
Possessor – Bass/Vokills
Destructor – Drums
And other guitarist for some shows.

15.- A few months ago I have the opportunity to hear this band Bestial Possession (amazing band) Could you recommend us some new Peruvian bands with great music?
- Peru always have great bands, but the monetary situation and the poor support only a few bands are defunded in the underground. Here you can find some cruel hordes:
Saram, Necropsya, Inhumano, Goat Semen, RIP, Epilepsia, Belzec, Mortem, Hadez, Evil Damn, Black Fire, Nahual, Hell Drunk, etc.

16.- Dou you have plans for this year, maybe a new album, tours?
- Yeah, we are recording our new album “Gathering of the Putrid Demons”, and we have the invitation for play in Chile like in 2006, we stay in chile with the maniacs, all brutal!

17.- Maybe we can see you in Mexico soon?
- We wish to visit all the world, that depends of the promoters, if they interested and can pay our tickets.

18.- Anything to add?

Interview: Vehementer (Serbia)

This is the interview with R. G. Adversor vocals and guitars from this crazy blasphemous bastards of Vehementer!

1.- How are you? First of all, tell us yiur names and possitions and how do you formed the band?
- Hails man!!! We are VEHEMENTER from Serbia, play evil old school metal, drink all kinds of alcohol, collect vinyls and await the apocalypse!!! The positions - Im R. G. Adversor founder of the band and only original member, i play guitars and do vocals ! S. T. Zealot plays bass and Z. D. Zombie is on drums!!! All three of us also play in Serbian death/thrash metal band Infest!!! We also have 4th member in VEHEMENTER! Kozeljnik of the cult Serbian bands The Stone and May Result will be playing second guitar for the live shows!!! The band exists from 2003 only it was called ORDEAl at the time and in 2004 I changed it to VEHEMENTER!!!

2.- What bands inspired you to create Vehementer with this great Metal style?
- Basically all true evil metal from it..s beginnig to these days!!! Personaly my musical taste is rooted in end of the 60ies and all the way to the beginning of the 90ies where it all died!!! And to name some of the fave bands - MERCYFUL FATE, IRON MAIDEN ,JUDAS PRIEST, MOTORHEAD,CELTIC FROST, BOMBARDER, DIAMOND HEAD ,ANGEL WITCH, SATAN, PENTAGRAM ( both, US and CHILE )POSSESSED, AUTOPSY,BULLDOZER, SHUB NIGGURATH, SARCOFAGO .VULCANO.MAYHEM( old of course),MORBID ANGEL, TREBLINKA,ROOT, MASTERS HAMMER, BLASPHEMY,ANGELCORPSE, AND MANY OF THE TRUE SPEED/THRASH BANDS OF THE 80ies ( to many to mention) also i listen to old rock & roll a lot!!!

3.- Do you have demos or some recordings before this coming EP?
- We have only one song called IMPROPER BURIAL recorded before the ep! It was recorded in 2005 and because of the many problems that i had with lineups of this band it was never released!!! IT will be released soon as bonus on the tape version of the EP!!!

4.- How is the Metal scene in Serbia?
- The scene over here sucks!!! There is wery small amount of quality bands and the rest is a bunch of kids tryng to sound like arch enemy and other simmilar shit!!! Just to name few with balls - BOMBARDER probably the first speed metal band on this part of the world still doing shows, releasing stuff and still are the best!!! KUGA -great speed metal band soon to release debut album, of course THE STONE ,MAY RESULT, the most sucesfful Serbian bands led by the same people!!! There are also few more bands with potential- ZAKLAN, POSMRTNA LITURGIA, TOXIC TRACE, POLLUTION, NADIMAC, VERGEL, BESOMAR, SAMRT,and legendary beer metal band M.A.D. GOYA!!!

5.- At the time you are composing a new song, who is the one that bring the main idea of the song, or do you all participate on it?
- In this band im the only autor and i think it will stay that way!!! I belive that is for the best because i have a right vision of how everithing should look like and the guys are here to help me make do that right!!!

6.- Where does the lyric theme come from? Why having this topics in lyrics?
- Lyrics of VEHEMENTER deal with the DEVIL and APOCALYPSE and that is all i have to say!!! lyrics are not going to be printed in the booklets of our releases and i know that the true ones shall feel their purpose!!!

7.- How much time did you took to have ready the EP songs and recording?
- The songs from the ep were ready for about four years befere the recording!!! We recorded the ep in DRAFT studios BELGRADE and we al already had some experience with that studio cause we recorded our other band INFEST there!!!

8.- How can we stay underground with fashions which kill genres like Thrash Metal, Death Metal and Black Metal?
- Trends are unavoidable and always were!!! Those who know the old spirit right and have sensed it right are imune to this disease!!!

9.- What can we expect from your EP, you worked with some label or independent?
- Yeah there are some great releasing plans but right now everithing is in a proces of preparation so i can´t really speak about it!!!!

10.- Besides music, what jobs or activities do you have?
- Well ZOMBIE have some werehouse job and ZEALOT is still in coledge Im a tattoo artist by profesion and i study graphic design also i do allot of coverart,logos e.t.c and all are other activities include our music!!!

11.- Could you define in 5 words the music of Vehementer?
- It´s raw, wicked, archaic, bestial, and it is written in the devils glory!!!

12.- How is a gig of Vehementer?
- Our shows in the past were pretty brutal ! yeah and im very proud of that haha !!!! lot of drunk people in the club and 3 guys on the stage more drunk then all off them hahahahaha!!!

13.- What can you say about this song "Greatest of Circles (Ritual Fire)"?
- It was the one of the first song ever written by me heavily influenced by CELTIC FROST! most of the my people that heard the ep like that one the most !!! my personal fave is CHRUSH THE OATHBREAKER!!

14.- Plans for this year, touring, splits...
- As i sad there are some major plans about releasing some splits and other shit but I realy must keep my promise and be quiet till we arrange it all !!! than we can do another interview haha !!! what i can say is that VEHEMENTER and our other band INFEST will be playing together in CZEH REPUBLIC on 19. and 20 of june but we dont know all the details yet !!!

15.- Anything you wanna add?
