Norwegian authorities grant rights to King and Gaahl / Autoridades Noruegas otorgan derechos de Gorgoroth a King y Gaahl.

Norwegian authorities at Patentstyret (Norwegian patent office) have made the verdict on the dispute over the further use of the trademark and logo "Gorgoroth". It has been legally determined that King and Gaahl retain the rightful ownership and use of the name and logo, now and in the future.

King and Gaahl will not give a detailed public statement on this verdict however they have both remained confident this result would indeed be the final conclusion.

Any third parties who use the name Gorgoroth will from now on be met with legal prosecution.

Gorgoroth, King and Gaahl, will not continue to work with Regain Records given their disloyal acts concerning Gorgoroth and are currently carefully choosing a new label for the release of their next full-length album.

King and Gaahl are now focused on making music for the next album and with planning some very special shows for 2008. As previously announced, Gorgoroth will headline at Wacken Open Air.

Entrevista a Obliteration

Hoy entregamos la entrevista a esta poderosisima banda Death Metal de Noruega, Obliteration.
Respuestas por Kristian(bateria) y Sindre(voz).

1.-¿Que tal, como estan?, hablenos un poco de su nombre "Obliteration" y ¿como se formaron?
-Kristian: El nombre de Oliteration, esta tomado de la cancion “SS3” de Slayer. Pensamos que la palabra sonaba bien y que era acorde a nuestra musica.
Nos formamos en el 2001 en una escuela de musica en Kolbotn, pero en ese entonces no tomabamos a la banda muy en serio hasta el 2003, despues de algunos cambios en la alineacion y estilo de musica.
Sindre:Y desde entonces ha sido puro death metal old school, dia y noche

2.- Mirando hacia atras, ¿como ha sido el camino desde su primer demo en 2004,hasta este, su primer LP?
-Kristian: Hemos estado ajetreados, la banda solo se ha vuelto major, mas maciza y mas brutal, y tal parece que lagente ha entendido esto, desde que tenemos disquera.
Sindre: Hemos estado tocando en clubs y festivales de Noruega y grabando Nuevo material, como nuestrp primer 7” “Total Fucking Obliteration” y demas cosas, y despues del festival “Hole in the Sky” el año pasado, Nocturno Culto me llamo para preguntarnos si queriamos estar con una disquera. Asi que hemos estado ajetreados! Hehehehe

3.- Sus letras hablan de muerte, gore, blasfemia... ¿Todos ustedes participan en la composicion de las mismas?
-Kristian: Yo escribo la mayoria de las letras, pero todos participamos. Y si hay algo que a los otros no nles gusta de la banda, lo cambiamos.
Sindre: Yo tambien escribo algunas de las letras, y son acerca de nuestros puntos de vista de la sociedad y nuestros pensamientos retorcidos acerca de la religion y demas temas. Todos tenemos un punto de vista acerca de esto asi que todos teneos una participacion en la creacion de las letras, en especial estos temas.

4.- ¿Como es su forma de componer, hacen la musica primero o la letras vienen primero?
-Kristian: Eso depende. Una cancion usualmente empieza con un Riff o solo con una idea para hacer un riff. A veces tenemos la cancion lista sin letra, o visceversa.
Sindre: Las canciones simplemente se dan, no tenemos ningun tipo de regal o dogma acerca de como creamos la musica. Eso seria una pendejada, el trabajo duro es la llave para hacer buenas canciones. Y con suerte algo de talento.

5.- Este disco nos recuerda el death metal de la vieja escuela, ¿hay alguna banda o algun album que los haya influenciado de una manera realmente importante?
-Kristian: Para mi “Suffocation – Effigy of the Forgotten”, es el major album de la historia, asi que tengo muchas influencias de ese disco. Tambien escucho grind, metal progresivo y tecnico, asi que tambien esto frma parte de mis influencias. Cada uno de nosotros tenemos bandas y estilos favoritos, pero todos tenemos un interes especial en el death metal, asi que cuado hacemos musica, todo se mezcla a la perfeccion.
Sindre: Somo MUY OLD SCHOOL en nuestro gusto musical. Claro que escuchamos cosas nuevas y tecnicas, pero nuestro Corazon y alma estan en la escena death y thrash de la vieja escuela. Las bandas que mas nos han inspirado son SLAYER, MORBID ANGEL, NIHILIST, REPULSION (ugh!! Devastadores), AUTOPSY(los reyes del death), DARKTHRONE, DEATH, BOLT THROWER, OBITUARY, POSSESSED, DEICIDE, SUFFOCATION, SODOM, DESTRUCTION, SADUS, DR. SHIRNKER, PESTILENCE… la lista sigue y sigue. Yo y uno de los guitarristas tambien tocamos en una banda de thrash llamada “Nekromantheon”, asi que escuchamos toneladas de thrash como AURA NOIR, DARK ANGEL, SACRIFICE, RAZOR, WHIPLASH, AUDIOPAIN, INFERNO y demas bandas.
Tenemos un enorme gusto musical como banda, asi que tomamos inspiracion de muchas bandas. Tambien soy un gran fan de Tom waits y Nina Hagen, asi que date una idea.

6.- Noruega es bien conocido por su escena black metal, pero ¿que tan grande es la escena Death?
-Kristian: En los ultimos años se ha vuelto muy grande, y se ha venido una pequeña oleada de increibles bandas como: ABOMINAT. GROTESQUE HYSTEROCTOMY, EXECRATION, THE ALLSEEING I, y los poderosos DISKORD.
Sindre:Y como deben saber tambien tenemos a CADAVER y DARKTHRONE, pero todos sabemos lo que paso ahi.
Pero no me gusta verlo como una escena exclusiva de death metal. Aqui en Noruega tenemos una extrema escena de metal. Y esta chingon!! Aqui hay muchas buenas bandas de death y thrash metal en estos dias.

7.- ¿Creen que Kristian haya sido influenciado por Pete Sandoval? Porque dejenme decirles, Kristian ofrece la misma velocidad pero sin perder la fuerza en sus manos.
-Kristian: Jeje. Antes que todo, gracias! Si Pete Sandoval es una gran influencia para mi. Hemos visto a Morbid Angel en el festival “Hole in the Sky” en Bergen el año pasado, y estuvo chido!! Su forma de ser en el escenario y en el backstage son dos mundos diferentes. Tienes al Pete que corre por todo el lugar y se divierte, y se la pasa hablando incoherencies, pero cuando se pone detras de su bateria es puro control y una perfecta ejecucion de death metal.
Sindre: Jeje fue una tocada chingona, el es muy intenso y ojala Kristian toque tan cabron algun dia.

8.- Aparte de el metal, ¿que otra musica les gusta?
-Kristian: Me gustan diferentes estilos de musica, siempre y cuando la musica se adapte a mi. Pero debe tener algo especial. L a musica pop es una mierda, sin importar que tan buenos sean sus musicos.
Sindre: MUCHOS!! Hay muy Buena musica en casi todos los generos, pero abunda la mierda, jajaja.
Me gusta TOM WAITS, JHONNY CASH, NINA HAGEN, algun funk y soul, rock y otros. Nuestro bajista Didrik le gusta mucho VICTOR WOOTEN que es un mounstro, FRANK ZAPPA. Estamos locos, locos por la musica!!!

9.- ¿Como se sienten estar firmados por Tyrant Syndicte/Peaceville Raecords?
-Kristian: Esta es la disquera de mis sueños, AURA NOIR tambien esta en esta disquera y eso es suficiente para mi.
Sindre: Si! Y DARKTHRONE, AUTOPSY, ABSCESS y OLD. Ugh! Es un honor unirnos a las filas de grandes bandas y grandes personas.

10.- En un concierto, ¿como les gustaria que la gente reaccionara?
-Kristian: Eso no lo se, solo quiero que reaccionen.
Sindre: Yo prefiero que se vuelvan locos, y que nos compren una playera despues jejeje. Si les gusta nuestra musica y se meten en ello, eso es todo lo que necesito. Estamos aqui para poner el ejemplo, y significa mucho para mi, el que la gente hable el mismo idioma despues de un show.

11.- ¿Han sufrido algun percance en el escenario?
-Kristian: Aparte de tirar las baquetas. Empezar la cancion equivocada, que se rompa una cuerda de la guitarra o el bajo o que Sindre cante fuera de tiempo, no recuerdo otras. Pero estoy seguro de que seguira pasando.
Sindre: Eructar cuando tengo que cantar jajaja, no no ha pasado nada realmente vergonzoso, excepto la ocasion que Arild (guitarrista) olvido apagar su pedal wah wah, asi que cuando la cancion empezo, el riff era mas joto que una cancion de Snoop Dog jajajaja.

12.- ¿Con que bandas les gustaria compartir el escenario?
-Kristian: Suffocation.
Sindre: OH que sorpresa jeje. Muchas, quieres la lista?
Entombed, Slayer, Old, Abscess, Death Breath, Destruction, Morbid Angel, Dark Angel, obituary... Bandas que me gustan.

13.- ¿Hay algun tour que les haya gustado en particular y porque?
-Kristian: No hemos salido de gira aun, asi que no te podria contestar..
Sindre: Pero lo vamos a hacer, MARQUEN MIS PALABRAS.

14.- ¿Conocen a alguna banda de Death Metal en Mexico?
Kristian: Oh si!! Realmente me gusta Oxidised Razor.
Sindre: Si esa.. como se llaman.. Uh.. Chinga se me olvido, jeje.

15.- ¿Tienen planes de venir a Mexico?
-Kristian: No tenemos planes aun, pero estaria chido, espero que algun dia toquemos alla.
Sindre: YEAH! Realmente espero que vayams, pero aun no tenemos planes de hacer giras. S alguien en Mexico nos quiere contactar, SOLO HAGANMELO SABER!
Estaria chngon sentarse debajo del sol antes de un concierto comiendo tacos, chupando unas coronas y tequila! Yeah!

CRUCIFIER INTERVIEW

1.- Hi guys how are you? Talk to us a little about your expirience like a Thrash Metal band in Greece, it´s hard to live for the music?
-HI DUDE GREETINGS FROM GREECE
YES IT IS VERY HARD TO SURVIVE...XAXAXA-THRASH UNDER PRESSURE

-We living in the chaos of daylife...anyway
-CRUCIFIER was formed in February of 1995 by Hlias, "Thanatoid", Kyriazis (vocals) and Giorgos Kyriazis (bass guitar) in Athens, Greece. With 3 demos (1995-Infernal Pain / 1996-Totally Madness / 1998-Fear is your Mind)...tape rehersals demos 2 Ep's (2001-Innocent World / 2004-Escape or Die!) and a full length album (2002-Merciless Conviction) after several changes in the line-up, the band recorded the second full length (2006-Cursed Cross) with new members from 2003-'04 and '05 except Thanatoid. Crucifier have played in many live gigs until now and as a support they have played with Paul Di'Anno in 2003 and with Tankard once in 2004 in Athens and again in Larissa in 2006. Currently the band has changed once again his line-up with a new drummer, bass player and continue with one guitar

2.- In your long career, more of 10 years in the music, do you think that this is your best moment?
-XAXAXA 12 IT´S A VERY BIG MOVEMENT THAT WE REALLY GROW UP ,BUT WE HAVE A LOT OF PLANS FOR THE FUTURE...( YOU WILL SEE )

3.- Recently you had some changes in the line-up, why?
-WE HAVE DIFFERENT OPINIONS....AND WE HAVE CHANGED THE LINE UP...NOW WE ARE A THRASH METAL FAMILY BAND

4.- How was the expirience playing with Paul di Anno and Tankard?
-IT WAS GREAT....GOOD LIVES... TANKARD ARE ONE OF THE CRAZIEST-ALCOHOLIC BANDS...XAXA THRASHED UP

5.- Do you have the oportunity to play with Flames from your country?
-FUCK YEEEAH FLAMES THE BIGGEST (CULT ) GREEK THRASH METAL BAND WE HAD PLAYED WITH FLAMES 2 TIMES BEFORE THEY SPLITED -UP THE LAST TIME WAS 2002...

6.- How was the contact with Blower Records, are you happy with them?
-Blower records is a great underground label which is interested for us, we are interested for blower, we learned about that label from our friends Strikemaster..great band very thrashy!!-

7.- Cursed Cross is a real angry violent fast Thrash Metal album, what do you inspired to wrote that songs?
-About cursed cross album cursed cross album is an album against world of 2007 against racists,against nuclear war,enviromental holocaust, against religions...well is an album which is dedicated to all thrashers that they deny to reality,refuse to everything sick escape from the fucking daylife fuck the fucking tv!!! we hate tv reach ,talk shows, sluts,gays,masturbators,new world,news,games,funny assholes,yuppies...
-Our lyrics are about socio-political subjects,like war world 3,like crimes against humanity,like toxic and nuclear threats,enviromental holocaust,and we write stories about
persons who gets in madness from sick society-
-I hate all the goverments ,and we believe in the human rights,i hate that bastards who don't respect freedom of speaking and it is a very big problem i wish the best, for the world independence

8.- The cover of the album is killer, totally old school, could you explain the mean of the cover?
-Well well that guy is an metalhead like u like us who was crucified in the name of religion and in the name of war...

9.- In an aspect more personal, how is the life of Crucifier in your home, friends, etc?
-In greece we have a great thrash scene but the promoters don't support thrash they would like to promote melodic ,new metal and other bullshits ..check out -deny,mortal threat,conciction,dead city,death fiend,infest.......great local thras meatl bands, life sucks...xaxa...no it is great here.. come and see...xaxa

13.- Do you know Mexican bands?
-Thrash under pressure xaxaxxa yes we know many bands you have great scene...
Strikemaster are great fucking band and friends of us we saw an underground big thrash movement over the world...
Thrash is back ...we believe it....-great bands from Europe from u.s.a.,from Canada from brazil,from mexico ,from japan from everywhere ....it is very good for all of us, thrash metal blitzkrieg again..-

This is the Interview with Peter bassist of Witch Hammer.

1.- Hi guys how are you? Tell us what is Witch Hammer?
-Hi! WITCH HAMMER is czech Power/heavy metal band, from city Jablunkov.

2.- How were you formed?
-Witch hammer arise 1.9.1999 in line-up: Jan --otkovský - vocal, Old--ich Volný - guitar, Petr Caputa - bass and Daniel Bielesz - drums, in Jablunkov. We wanted to play some heavy metal music, because all around was many hard core, punks or nu-metal bands, but we don´t like that styles so much. Cause we form the band.

3.- Could you tell us your name and position in the band?
-My name is Petr and I play the bass. I´m in charge of lyrics to.

4.- How it was the musical evolution since your first demo to your debut LP?
-Well, our firs demo „Tears of the witch"(2001) was our very first experience with recording.We were 16-17 years old and we were so happy that this songs we record are ourselve.We didn´t take a notice about sound of the record or mastering.We were happy,that we have some promo CD for persuasion of the concerts.Our second demo „Heavy metal resurrection"(2002) was a recording premiere of our new drumer Robert.We were a little experienced, but the sound of the second demo didn´t be so great yet.Promo 2004 is our third record and we are very satisfied with him.All our demos were recorded at same studio, but the last one was recorded by new sound engineer and on sound of the record is it listen to. Our debut album PRICE FOR THE NEW WORLD we recorded with the same sound engineer Tomá-- --pirka. It is another step in our musical evolution and we are satisfacted with this record.

5.- Who is your maximum influence?
-We don´t have one or two bands which influented us. That is many many heavy metal bands. For example bands like: BLACK SABBATH, JUDAS PRIEST, IRON MAIDEN, RAGE, RUNNING WILD, SAXON...and much more. But we try to put in our music some ourselve energy.

6.- Inside the Czech Metal scene, Who is your most important reference?
-I don´t know how deep you know czech scene, but we like czech bands like for example: KREYSON, ARAKAIN, TORR, DOGA.

7.- How do you see the Czech Metal scene?
-I think that we have a lot of very good bands, but the biggest problem is repression metal music in TV or radio. If you want to listen quality music, you must search. If common man switch on the TV, he can see pop music, disco, brass band, but metal music only marginally. But the czech metal scene is pretty much alive! and it´s very good.

8.- You really make us remember bands like Iron Maiden and Riot, do you think the sound of Witch Hammer is similar to heavy of first half of the 80?
-It is possible. As I said, we listen many many heavy metal bands including Iron maiden or Riot and certainly all of them influenced us by its way. But I think, that we are just a little sharper.

9.- Besides Metal what other music do you like?
-I like hard rock music to or sometimes I listen czech folk musicians like NOHAVICA or KRYL (mostly because of lyrics).

10.- What is the feeling that you try to transmit in your songs?
-Our concerts are very energy. This is the right word. We try to transmit that very good feeling of our music to the people and If they give it back to us, it is someting superious! In my lyrics I try to describe my look on daily world around me and I hope that our fans find in my lyrics also piece of themeselves.

11.- Could you talk us about this song "Time of the Burning"?
-Time of the burning is first song on our debut album PRICE FOR THE NEW WORLD. Is it supple opening song and I think that Time of the burning is one of our best song. The Lyric of this song is about live and destinations of our band. I had an idea of this lyric, when we drove back from one concert of our band in the night on the highway.

12.- Have you played outside of your country?
-Yes we played in Poland for the 3 times and in Slovakia for the 3 times.

13.- Could you tell me your Dream Metal Band?
-Dream metal band? I don´t know really, Maybe WITCH HAMMER on some very big place. Even DONINGTON – Download festival or WACKEN Open air, Rock In Rio.

14.- Dou you have plans for touring soon?
-We have concerts through the whole year. Of course we would have very happy, for touring around Europe with some bigger band, but it wasn´t occasion yet. Maybe in the future.

-Sometimes I find some good band on www.metal-archives.com

Here is the interview with Cyjan drummer of Dead Infection.

1.- Hi, how are you? More of 15 years playing a fucking brutal music, do you still feeling the same emotion like the early years?
- Yes, I still feel the same what 15 years ago. Very exciting that I can make my dream true... playing the shows, recording albums etc.

2.- Who is your most important influence?
- I think 3 bands: NAPALM DEATH, CARCASS, TERRORIZER. The best old bands ever!

3.- Could you tell us your name and position in the band?
- I'm Cyjan. Drummer of the band.

4.- Before Dead Infection, you play in other bands?
- Yes. In the years '88-'89 I played in the grindcore band called FRONT TERROR. Watch here: www.myspace/frontterror

5.- What has been the better experience in Dead infection?
- It was a lot of experiences in the band. But I think the best one were our travel to Japan and Mexico. Hope to come there again.

6.- Could you tell us, how is now the Goregrind or Grindcore Polish scene?
- Grindcore and gore scene in Poland is very big! We have a lot of good bands! The best ones are: INCARNATED, SQUASH BOWELS, NEUROPATHIA, THIRD DEGREE, ANTIGAMA and some others...

7.- What is the feeling that you try to transmit in your songs?
- I express myself by the music. It's the most important thing to me. I don't care too much about lyrics. They're not much important like music. Through playing grindcore on drums I express my energy.

8.- How is the process of composition?
- Usually everybody makes the songs in home. When the riffs are ready then we're making arrangment on rehearsals.

9.- How it was the musical evolution since your first demo to your last LP?
- Just listen to our stuff and estimate yourself. He, he!

10.- Before you play, dou you have some kind of ritual?
- Before I played, I was a good, polite kid having school and listening the music.

11.- A few months ago, you played in Mexico, how was the expirience? Dou you like Mexico?
- It was one of the best experiences of my life! I really like Mexico, people living there. You have very beutiful girls. Wanna come back there again :-)

12.- Do you know some Mexican band?
- I know a lot of mexican bands like Brujeria, Disgorge, Porno Infantil, C.A.R.N.E., Anarchus etc.

13.- Anything to say?
- Take care and see you in Mexico!

Here is the Interview with Paul Speckmann (Master).

1.- Hi Paul, how are you? Could you tell us hoe do you feel with "Slaves of Society"?
-Things are great, I just returned yesterday morning form the Lividity, Master tour of Europe, and the finish with 300 crazy motherfuckers was a killer end to a three week journey. I ma getting ready to join the Massacre reunion tour beginning on October 26th as a merchandiser and assistant tour manager, so all is fine. I live around 6 months a year on the road these days.

Slaves To Society is the best CD I have recorded in many years. Of course I am happy with it. I just hope that the people are getting this in the shops. This is a CD not to miss.
The text deals with the state of affairs we are in today. All people are Slaves To Society working for the greater machine. Things are really shit at the moment with these idiots like Bush, Putin, and Blair at the helm or Brown for that matter. These geriatric patients are dictating the way we should live. The sooner the youth of today get up and take a stand against these assholes the sooner freedom will really realized. Anarchy is nearly lost.

2.- You have more of 20 years in the Metal, What is the most important thing the music given to you?
-Freedom, what else. The freedom to express my point of view, and the freedom to travel the world and share my message with the masses at the music's expense.

3.- How do you evolved since Warcry even the actual moment with Master?
-Warcry was the beginning of it all for me. this heavy Metal band brought me the courage and energy to take the stage. For this I am grateful. Master was created after listening to a split single called Live Like an Angel Die Like a devil. and In League With Satan from Venom. This single changed my life.
Deathstrike was really the band that broke through first, and Master followed shortly after.

-Rainbow with Dio.

7.- What thing inspired to you for write the lyrics of this album? we can listen topics like death, politic or religion.
-Society inspires me on every record.

8.- For you this is the best album of Master?
-Every album has its place in my career. All albums have good and bad points. This is the best one in the last year of course, but I have written many other great masterpieces.

9.-What is you more yearn in this life?
-More money what else. I have everything else, freedom, job security and my music.

10.- In the past, you come to Mexico, do you have plans for return soon?
-Probably not, no one can seem to arrange it.

11.-Do you like some band from Mexico?
-Disgorge is the best band from Mexico with Antimo on vocals.

12.- Why do you have that long beard?
-Because I like it. It's metal of course.

Entrevista con Witchtrap

Aqui esta la entrevista completa a Witchtrap, banda de Thrash/Black Metal de Colombia, realizada por Dario Destroyer.


1.- ¿HAILSSS……hermanos colombianos, es para nosotros un placer poder realizar esta entrevista, con una banda que consideramos de las mejores de Latinoamérica y como no del mundo, por favor coméntenos acerca de la banda para todos aquellos thrashing maniacs mexicanos que aun no conocen su agrupación?
-W/ Bueno, primero agradecerte por tus palabras tan elogiantés y de gran apoyo, la verdad nos motiva mucho el escuchar palabras de honestidad y apoyo incondicional. La banda se forma a finales del año 1992 antes llamada Dark Millenium y que tocábamos un estilo death metal que era lo que se estaba tocando en aquellos días acá en Colombia por el auge que obtuvo la ya conocida Masacre en dichos años, bueno después de mochos ensayos logramos hacer una grabación casera en nuestro lugar de ensayo y decidimos que sería nuestro primer demo tape así que un año después (1997) lo editamos en formato semiprofesional y llevaría el nombre “The first Necromancy” luego hicimos otra grabación en circunstancias similares en el año 1998 pero este solo vio la luz hasta la reedición del demo-Cd bajo el sello Japonés Obliteration Rec. Un año más adelante reclutamos al tercer miembro para la banda el cual daría un sonido más profesional en vivo pues hasta entonces solo éramos Ripper en las guitarras y voz y yo Witchhammer en la guitarra. Así que Dark Moon completo el hechizo para eventos en vivo. Con el grabaríamos dos producciones que son: el Witching Metal y el Sorceress Bitch en los años 2000 y 2002 respectivamente ese mismo año el saldría de la banda poco después del lanzamiento del mismo álbum y unos meses después reclutaríamos a Enforcer en el bajo quien nos dio más identidad en nuestro sonido pues sus influencias musicales son más acordes con las nuestras. En el año 2004 y 2005 fue reeditado el Sorceress Bitch en formato vinilo por dos sellos disqueros uno Ordealis Rec. De Francia Y Uttlerly Somber Creations. De USA en versión regular y picture disc respectivamente, en el 2005 también formaríamos nuestro sello disquero para trabajar exclusivamente con WITCHTRAP y reeditaríamos el debut Ep nuestro “Witching Metal” en formato Cd, luego el año anterior 2006 hicimos nuestro segundo larga duración “No Anesthesia” el cual fue también licenciado por un sello norteamericano Hells Headbangers Rec. A principios del 2007, también este mismo año prensamos un single en versión Mcd que se llama “Nightmares Of The Dead” que lo dedicamos a la memoria de tres grandes del Rock’N’Roll que son ellos: Cliff Burton, Wendy O. Williams y Bon Scott. Es una breve reseña de lo que hemos logrado con nuestro grupo y esperamos poder seguir extendiendo para todos los metaheads alrededor del mundo.

2.- ¿Con su actual trabajo el “No Anesthesia”, podemos comprobar una evolución musical de la banda hacia un lado más técnico y speed, que a diferencia de su primer álbum que se podría considerar una buena mezcla de thrash/black metal ala bathory y los primeros sodom, esta evolución se dio de manera natural o fue un cambio al que ustedes como músicos esperaban alcanzar?
-W/ Para nosotros esta evolución como la llamas, realmente no creemos que fuese buscada, es lo que hemos logrado a través de los ensayos y el mejor desempeño que se obtiene a partir de la misma practica, sin embargo consideramos que nosotros no hemos cambiado en nada nuestras composiciones, estamos muy seguros que es fruto del sonido obtenido en el estudio de grabación.


3.- ¿Al parecer su álbum está logrando gran reconocimiento de la escena internacional, tenemos entendido que ya ha sido re-editado por Hells Headbangers Records en formato Cd, Lp, Pic-lp y también existe una versión die-hard, así como en su momento se dio con su primer álbum, pero creen que les hace falta para poder surgir todavía más en la escena mundial?
-W/ si, nosotros estamos buscando llegarle a mas metal heads alrededor del mundo, y para esto es necesario tener una mayor distribución y WITCHTRAP a nuestra forma de percibirlo, es una banda aun muy underground. Claro que ahora con la edición de los demos en formato Cd por Obliteration Rec y el trabajo hecho por Hells Headbangers Rec hemos logrado llegarle a mas maniáticos en otras partes del mundo ellos tiene una gran distribución lo cual nos tiene muy contentos.

4.- ¿Ustedes acaban de lanzar un Mcd llamado “Nightmares of the Dead”, el cual contiene la canción “metal mania”, la cual se incluye como bonus en la versión pic-lp del Sorceress Bitch y en una recopilación de hace años en su ciudad, que nos pueden decir sobre esta nueva producción y donde se puede conseguir, junto con sus otros trabajos?
-W/ Nuestro nuevo Mcd es una producción que tomo varios años en ser prensada por múltiples razones que obstaculizaron su salida, pero ahora con nuestro sello “Dirty Sound Records” pudimos hacer real esta obra que fue grabada en el año 2002 después de la salida de Dark Moon y antes del ingreso de Enforcer, la sesión de bajo fue hecha por Witchhammer, y sobre él puedes conseguirlo solo por nuestro sello o nuestro contacto directo, al igual que las otras producciones.

5.- ¿Su sello Dirty Sound Records, en el cual re-editaron su Ep “Witching Metal” en versión Cd en el año 2005, fue concebido para editar material solo concerniente a su banda o planean en un futuro más cercano trabajar con otras agrupaciones?
-W/ Si, la idea central es solo trabajar con WITCHTRAP aun que aun no sabemos qué hacer realmente con otras bandas eso lo veremos a su debido tiempo.

6.- ¿El Sorceress Bitch fue un álbum al cual consideramos de altísima calidad y evocación del metal ochentero, el cual nos llevas por los riffs de las gloriosas bandas del thrash metal que reinaron la escena durante los años ochenta, años que seamos sinceros nunca volverán aun a pesar de las bandas actuales que han surgido para revivir el verdadero metal, creen que de verdad el thrash metal esta muerto y que no se podrá dar de nuevo una escena así?
-W/ A manera de ver sería necesario que un sello disquero metiera toda su fuerza en un grupo en particular, y que este a su vez tenga un gran carisma para llegarle a todo Rockero y metalero que exista, es posible pero no creo que un sello disquero esté dispuesto a trabajar en esto, bandas en el thrash metal con carisma y energía las hay pero ummm??? El thrash no está muerto fue un pequeño descanso que ha tomado para reinar de nuevo pues es el metal por excelencia, pues de allí nace toda encarnación de metal extremo de seguro.


7.- ¿Aparte de WITCHTRAP, Ripper y Witchhammer han colaborado en bandas como erzebet y thy anthicrist, y sabemos de su banda paralela NIGHTMARE a la que le encuentro una gran influencia en los americanos “obsessión”, con la cual tocan puro heavy metal de verdad y ya cuentan con un álbum, esta banda tiene la misma importancia para ustedes que WITCHTRAP o es un proyector para demostrar su gusto por el heavy metal y su afán por tratar de revivirlo?
-W/ NIGHTMARE es el proyecto hecho banda de Ripper y Enforcer, y nace del deseo de Ripper de hacer cosas que WITCHTRAP no le permite hacer, en su totalidad son dos bandas bien distintas.

8.- ¿La escena de la ciudad de Medellín parece haber decaído a como lo era durante los ..80, donde aparecieron leyendas como parabellum, reencarnación etc. A que se debe esto, ustedes piensan que eso fue lo mejor que pudo dar el metal colombiano, o que por el contrario la escena de ahora es mucho mas solidad y fuerte que nunca?
-W/ Si hablamos de bandas y su calidad, por supuesto que ahora hay muchas más y mejores bandas que ellas a mi juicio de ver y escuchar, son bandas que tienen una gran importancia en nuestra escena pero no tenían esa gran magia que para mis oídos como metalero y músico satisfacen mis necesidades, sin embargo viendo la escena como cantidad y calidad es muy contradictorio a lo que se ve con la cantidad bandas pues la escena es poca en público y con algunos que e contradicen lo que genera envidias y demás cosas que no llevan a ningún horizonte, me alegra que hace poco se viene creando un gran intento por unir de nuevo la escena a través de un festival mensual que se llama “Metal Medallo” y que ojala sirva para unificar y acabar con envidias y malos entendidos. Entonces puedo decir que se está fortificando nuestra escena poco a poco.

9.- ¿Tienen conocimiento de algunas bandas mexicanas y si es así, según ustedes cuales con las bandas mexicanas, que de verdad merecen respeto y reconocimiento por parte de la escena mundial?
-W/ Yo realmente conozco pocas bandas de México porque aquí los almacenes y sellos no traen material de su país, es poco lo que se logra conocer de allá pero entre las que conozco recuerdo con mucho agrado: Transmetal, brujería, Luzbel que de hecho que gran y buena banda, me trae orgullo escuchar bandas como estas. Deberían de ser mas distribuidas en la escena mundial.

10.- ¿Qué nos pueden decir sobre el futuro inmediato de la banda, ensayos, grabaciones, conciertos etc.?
-W/ WITCHTRAP esta preparándose para el nuevo álbum que ojala esté listo a principios del 2008, y estamos en la búsqueda de poder conseguir unos toques fuera de Colombia, que hasta hoy en día solo ha sido uno en Quito-Ecuador el cual fue grandioso y brutal, si así será cuando estemos en tierras de otro país , no veo la hora de estarlo.

11.- ¿Solo falta darles gracias, por permitirnos que lleváramos a cabo esta entrevistas con una banda que es de nuestro más grande agrado, unas últimas palabras para sus seguidores mexicanos?
-W/ Es la hora de mostrar el orgullo que llevamos como Rockeros y Metaleros, de ser libres como algún día nos mostro el camino, una música que va en sentido contrario a la corriente de la sociedad, de vivir con la cara en alto y sin miedos a represiones y discriminaciones, somos Rockeros y Metaleros de Corazón y Alma, que daríamos la vida por ser lo que somos y renaceríamos por ese mismo emblema llamado Metal.
No cambiemos ni agreguemos culturas a una cultura que ya tiene sus raíces, conservémosla libre de contaminaciones ajenas para que sea digna de llevar en nuestro corazón como un patrimonio interno inquebrantable.
